That Vanderbilt kicker was used by the school and program and, despite what ESPN and media outlets stated, was pretty much resoundingly mocked and laughed at. I absolutely wouldn’t want my daughter to go through that. You would?

You actually believe people were going up to that vandy kicker and mocked her? No. Only guys like you posting on message boards complained. Yes I would completely support my daughter if she had the chance to do that and was excited about it. To not would be ridiculous

Baseball has had a man with 6 fingers, man with three fingers, man with one arm, a blind man, deaf man, and a real midget.

So is a woman playing that big of a deal?

You think she was disconnected from all the things stated about her online? If this was 30 years ago, without social media and inter-connectivity, the risks associated with it would be significantly lower.

The following quote is from an article about her:

“Fuller has become an advocate for athletes dealing with mental health after she herself experienced depression earlier this year.”

It is apparent that the institution who pushed her to do that didn’t care about her outcome. She ended up at UNT the following year.

Again, I would not want my daughter to go through that.

It would ultimately be her decision, but I would express my views on it.

He’s pitching for Bryant. Not likely he’s making a career in baseball.

I fully support your daughter taking a 100 mph heater to the back and getting launched 15 yards on a devastating hit as well.

I truly hope the majority of yall don't have daughters. Jesus Christ. "Dad, I have a chance to make history and play in a D1 baseball game!"

"you stupid woke bitch! you better not! you don't know anything about sports, you girl!"

I mean it depends on the situation. I'd explain to my daughter that it's better to earn a spot than become a token. I don't know the situation, and she did make contact, so I cannot tell if she earned the spot or not.

That’s because you’re a good father intent on making sure she makes good choices instead of using her to fulfill your owned warped desire to be viewed as “forward thinking”.

If I had a daughter and she gave the halftime speech that the Vandy woman gave, I would one hundred percent let her know that shite is unacceptable. I'd also, at the very least, give her shite for running off the field during the kickoff.

A kicker who never played before telling a room of D1 football players how to act is comical at best, completely disrespectful and out of touch at worst.

Wait. So you want your daughter to participate in D1 men’s athletics but expect for them to treat her differently because she’s a woman?

So because random strangers on the internet might say mean things, I should discourage her from doing it? You do you, I guess.

Why is this a thing? This isn’t like a girl playing football because they don’t have the sport. They can play softball. Leave it to the Ivy League to destroy America.

Girls play Little League baseball at least when I was growing up in the 80s and a few made All-Star teams.

Then at 13, the League switches all girls to Softball. They weren't allowed to play boys baseball like Pony League because I guess they assumed the skill became too great. Always wondered if a LL All-Star girl stuck with baseball to high school and skipped the Softball route, how she'd fare in high school baseball?

If you had a daughter she would literally have no contact with you. Guaranteed

Nice generalization and meaningless attack.

If I had a son and he kicked the ball and immediately ran off the field on a kickoff, I would give him shite for it too.

It's also comical to an amazing degree that someone who just joined the team, as a goddamn kicker no less, tried to take a leadership role in the locker room. Again, that person deserves to get shite on a bit.
