LSU fans crying about football NIL while cheering on Jay Johnson buying baseball players from all over the country is lame.
It makes sense though, their football team is gearing up for another 4 loss season and a reminder that they are middle of the pack. Basketball is an embarrassment. All they have is baseball.

Sounds like you enjoy sucking dick

How do the players already on the roster not getting this money feel about this? NIL needs to be earned and not just given to freshmen who look good in the uniform

I miss the old days of creating fake scholarships to get money to athletes while the big money donors were able to take tax write-offs at the same time.

My understanding is there are some big money oil guys who are Tech boosters who could make a big splash in NIL depending on how things shake out.

Do you think there’s nothing in there to cover this scenario? Lol
Then is it guaranteed $ or not?

Wait. Do you think every contract signed in sports that’s called “guaranteed” is just guaranteed no matter what?

I’m not getting in an “lol” argument with a dumb arse. Yes, that’s what “fully guaranteed” means.
Milwaukee Bucks just cut Damian Lillard & he still gets all of his “guaranteed $”

Yikes. I didn’t realize how much you didn’t understand about this. Sorry lol

Your thread title alone shows just how ruined CFB really is.

Yeah, because I’m sure he doesn’t want to play in the NFL.
Next time, think about what you want to type, and then don’t do it.

Who even says “Do what?” And I really can’t believe somebody would actually type it. Interesting.
This boosters ROI is obviously getting this player to campus, which will happen. So, they’re probably happy.

Fully guaranteed? What if he doesn’t go to class and becomes ineligible?
Nevermind. That’ll never be allowed to happen. They’ll find someone to take his exams for him.

The two co-CEOs of Double Eagle Energy are former Tech FB players. One of them is married to a former Tech softball player, and as you saw this past season, damn near bought them a WCWS Championship.

Texas Tech will be a powerhouse with a $55M budget for NIL alone.

Just because they spend $55 million, dont mean theyll have $55 million worth of talent. If kids know you have that money theyll ask for more to come play for you

Why is this a problem in a capitalist society? At least the money is spent with stipulations and not out of pocket. They've been shooting from the hip too long.
