Wayyyyy better than using the #1 or #2 pick on any of these college QBs

As stated earlier in this thread, Belichick could trot out a one legged Edelman out there & still be winning games.

Hard to argue that, especially with their division.

Just honestly wondering who is the new backup.

Name even 5 teams that have drafted better. Every team in the league misses exponentially more than they hit on picks. Of course they aren't going to draft a Consistent Miller or Andrew Luck type player, they pick in the 30s every year.

New England has had some extremely poor drafts lately, but they also don't get the talent infusion almost every other team in the league gets with first round picks. NE has basically drafted 28th to 32nd overall for the past 15 years and had two first round picks removed.

NE always comes out on the best end of every trade!!!

I wouldn't have offered more than a 3rd!!

Garoppolo is still unproven as a starter!!

The 9ers would have to have used what is probably going to be a top 3 pick to get a qb. I think both teams when here.

This is a pretty even trade IMO. The Pats get a better pick than they would've recoeved if they let Garrapolo go and the 9ers get a QB better than anyone they probably would've have selected with the pick.

Hoyer was originally part of the deal but the pats told them no so he wouldn't frick with the compensation pick formula. So they cut him and are going to sign him as a FA instead

Lombardi also said they are going to flip the pick for a Dlinemen before tommorow, but I don't see many available DLinemen available at the price tag, except maybe ziggy ansah and eventhat would be too high for him. Lombardi is also wrong about that kind of shite 90 percent of the time. For example he's been adamant for 2 years that the Pats wouldn't give up Garrappolo for any price because they viewed him as the future

It’s not the value so much as the timing of this that’s strange.

Jimmy g would have made more than Tommy B if they franchised him next year. They had to decide which one was worth it more. They decided on Hollywood Tom.

I don't get the trade for the Niners. Garoppolo is a FA this summer. They can franchise him or sign him long term, but it's going to be a ton of money. Like 18M+. That's just too much. It's so much better to hit on a QB in the draft. Watson is making less than 4M a year for the next 4 seasons. Prescott is making way less than that. Just draft a QB every year.

BTW, this has to kill Cousins. I'm sure he doesn't want to be a Brown. Hopefully the Skins still don't make him the highest paid QB in the league..

So what, now CJ Beathard isnt good enough for you, San Fran? and we all fricking know it's because these liberal hippie San Fran cucks can't deal with having a QB who's family is deep in the country music world Nashville and who played his college ball in Trump area, farm fly over area of Iowa

Hitting on a qb in the draft is not as easy as you make it sound.

greatest QB in Nfl history.
not true. This board has already told me that if Brady wasn't drafted by the pats he would've been out of the league in 5 or 6 years. Average qb blessed with greatest team and coach ever. Any qb could win 5 suoer bowls with pats. Rodgers would've already won 10.
