94-96 with good off speed

He could pitch in the sec but should stay at Nicholls and not enter the portal

What 2 and 3 seeds are worse than Nicholls?

The people that are scared of Nicholls is baffling to me.
Nobody’s scared of Nicholls, doesn’t mean I want them in LSU’s regional. They’ll be one of the better 4 seeds and have a legit dude (as much as y’all think he sucks) that will throw on Friday.

Put me in the camp of wanting an easy out game 1 to save Floyd and the rest of our bullpen.

I can easily see Nicholls with Mayer keeping it a 3-4 run game through 6. I’d prefer someone like Grambling or Tulane who we can throw anybody and still win by 10+.

I also like Nicholls and want to see them succeed. They could give a team like Alabama or Auburn a run for their money.

Definitely want Grambling or UNO

Idk what Grambling did (or is currently doing) but UNO has a 0% chance of happening now.

Grambling and Tulane are your options (depending on what they are doing now) to get Nichols out, if you are scared of Nichols.

Everybody has an ace that pitched well in their conference. What kind of ERA do you think Blake Money or Griffin Herring would have in the Southland Conference?

LSU’s midweek pitching and our much beleaguered bullpen threw 2 shutouts and another two games of two run baseball against Southland teams this season.

Honestly, outside of the top 16 (maybe even top 8), I see a whole lot of parity all the way down into the 40s and 50s and even 60s.

Everyone talks about the recent loss to Nicholls. What about the earlier run-rule pasting we put on the Cajun Colonels?

It’s how auto qualifiers work and it’s why it’s nice to be a national seed

Tulane up 5-1 on Houston in the 2nd and they have the bases loaded with no out. Houston is bringing in its 1B to pitch, he’s been their closer in the past, but I think they just lost their DH because of that move.

Again, it’s the 2nd inning.

Watching as well. Drew Bianco and Zach Arnold on Houston as you well know.

ECU beat USF twice today to advance to the Championship tomorrow. Doubt Tulane can pull it off, but ya never know!

Higher or lower? Not sure what you are saying.

Samford won the SoCon. Will be in one of the Alabama Regionals, but nice RPI boost: Samford wins three games in one day

There is a 0% Skenes or Floyd will start game 1.

Watch ULL, if they win tonight, they play in the Fun Belt championship. They’re up 2-1 now. Could end up as the 3 seed in BR if they win the conference tourney. Possibly an at large bid, but I doubt it.

can’t believe Tulane is 17-40

yet 12 innings away from being in a regional. Lead 6-4 against UH going to the 7th inning and will play ECU in single elimination final tomorrow if result holds.

Would 19-40 be the worst winning % ever to make a regional?

No, it happens every year. I’d much rather LSU face Tulane Friday than Nicholls and a pitcher with a sub 2 ERA. But apparently since he pitches in the Southland, he sucks so there’s no different between Nicholls and Tulane.

I’d rather Tulane make it than face Nicholls with Mayers pitching against us in our regional. I feel like Tulane will be one of those teams shipped across the country though if they get an auto bid like they did with Nothwestern State when they sent them to Eugene with us a couple years ago.

40 loss teams definitely aren’t making a regional every year. The only way that happens is if they win their conference tournament so I guess maybe happens time to time in a SWAC or Northeast conference. but to be that bad all year like Tulane, 15-39, and turn it on for an entire week against decent competition in a conference like the American is pretty wild.
