Have you watched him pitch this year?
I’ve seen him in person twice and on TV twice, he’s got the stuff. My only knock on him is his walks, and that ain’t gonna fly with SEC umps now that I think of it

I think we can still get by starting Money.
But we'll start Hurd and be fine the rest of the weekend as long as our bats don't go completely silent. We have to remember that a lot of these 2 and 3 seeds have less pitching depth than us.

We know this isn't really the case, but on paper Hurd is our 4th starter. You have Skenes in game 2, saving a chunk of your pen. Floyd in game 3. And Coleman is still sitting out there at some point. I guess starting Coleman would make sense against a 4 seed too, but I would hope they are ready to let him go 80-90 pitches if that's the case.
Starting Money, or worse, in any game of a regional is asking for trouble.

People are looking at this wrong. LSU should be seeing how good their lineup is to decide who to start not the starting pitcher.
They rank 100+ in every hitting statistical category I looked at. I think you could get away with pitching Coleman or Money. I also understand going with Hurd and if the lineup starts mashing the ball you can pull him early so he will be available in relief later in the weekend.
