The Raiders shocked everybody when they picked Hayward-Bey over Crabtree. Because he was taller. What a terrible pick that was.

So the Bears got rid of Moore and their all pro center up and retired? They better have a good plan on offense then I don't think Williams will carry much on his own.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Makes a pick swap of round 2 and 5 look like a great deal for Moore

Al Davis picked Heywood-Bey because of his combine performance. Al Davis loved athletic freaks.
Sebastian Janikowski because of his canon of a leg.
JaMarcus Russell because of his canon of an arm.
Darrius Heywood-Bey because he ran a 4.3 flat at the combine.
Yes, DHB was an inch or so taller than Crabtree, but Al Davis fell in love with his speed.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Ended up being a serviceable center last year after a couple years of being awful and a rough preseason. Opens up Wilson to move to center (or Linderbaum?? Plz)

The ball doesn’t drop on the 2026 NFL league year – officially – until 4 p.m. ET on March 11. But pending free agents will begin charging their glasses at noon on March 9, when they can begin negotiating contracts with outside teams. (Those same players can re-sign with their current employers at any time, and those who have already been released from their present deals can sign wherever they please immediately.) Clubs can also continue putting the framework in place for trades, like Friday night's blockbuster involving Maxx Crosby's move from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Baltimore Ravens, though no transactions on that front can become official until the league year starts.

I don’t understand how he commanded that much money

[Russini] Patriots, Raiders, Chargers, 49ers were interested in Alec Pierce.
He turned down more money to stay in Indianapolis.

He was VERY good this year and is an ascending player.

That is insane money for Pierce.

[Rapoport] The Patriots are signing Dre’Mont Jones to a 3-year, $39.5M deal, sources say. He gets $14.5M in year one.
