For example Jamar Chase got almost 120 mil guaranteed, and that was before the cap grew by 10%. Now that's special player money.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I like this. Really good player just struggled to stay healthy. Having Ben brown able to step in (plus I assume a drafted rookie) could give them a lot of flexibility up front if he stays healthy
Reportedly Belicheck wanted him over Mac in 2021 but he was trying to be more “collaborative” and was talked into taking the QB given the need at the position at the time.

I have a hard time believing they couldn't find another team to make this trade or a slightly better one. Raiders front office doing a troll job. Probably why they're a joke of a franchise for the past 20 years.

Exactly, they did a 6th/7th pick swap to get the guy they wanted.
