Yeah it was a stinker.

WTF is up with all the brake checking in the corners. At least 4 drivers had their day ruined but that.

KL only has to finsh 28th next week to win. Or, get 9 stage points.

According to the Winston Cup points format - Denny Hamlin is the 2026 Cup Champion.

In reality, Kyle Larson will be champion barring a major catastrophe

I love getting those updates. Denny really has been the most consistent all year long.

Shane van Gisbergen with a top 5. He really likes Martinsville. Runs well there.

Denny has yet again squandered another championship away and you have to wonder how many more years does he have left.

Hocevar making even more friends. It will cost him at some point no one will cut him any slack someday when he needs it to win a race.

His strategist has cost him another title chance. Last year it was pitting late in race and this year it was not pitting early. Larson simply just needed to follow him yesterday to not lose points.

Hamlin needs to spend less time podcasting and more time going thru race strategies to know all his best options as race unfolds. He can override his CC.

Bell has cost himself as well. Spinning coming to pit road last week and trying to squeeze in last night. Logano could have let off a smidge to avoid taking both drivers out too.

Pretty boring race and I think a lot of the problem besides the car is the booth. They just add zero excitement. I bet if the NOAP crew was in booth they would make and show more drivers and make it sound much better. The booth is fans interface to action.

And everything has been monetized. Years ago they did thru the field and it was a novel idea with good info. Then Nascar sold ads for it and now its forced updates solely to advertise. “Credit One thru the field”. They only do it because its monetized not because they have good info to share.

But the booth is so bland and sound like they’re at a funeral. The booth has to be salesmen and thats what NOAP is, they add energy and great discussion no matter how the race is. Cup feels like you are at some lecture or seminar and feel imprisoned. Thats another reason Cup is bleeding viewers. Car is main reason don’t be mistaken. But booth could help. Amazing how bad these networks screwed up Cup booths.

Congrats to Larson! He took it and others choked. Hamlin especially.

Feels like Nascar did a rug pull on Toyota. Gave them a reg season advantage and then pulled rug for playoffs. Other teams worked on small gains while Toyota was fat and happy with their one carriage aero advantage. Once it got pulled the other cars were better due to all the little gains thru year and Toyota was left to scramble.

Seen a lot of memes about Hovavar he is making too many enemies. Not one positive comment in the comments at his interview post. He lied and someone said to force him to sit while SMT data was reviewed. And his car owner needs blame too, for encouraging it. Many crew chief comments how much money he is costing teams.

Before season started, I pegged Hocevar to take over the 48.

Now who besides spire will put up with his bullshite. He’s a frickin jackass. Used to like the kid. Not a fan. And haven’t been for awhile.

He’s talented but is the juice worth the squeeze?

It's not getting talked about like a big upset because it's Larson and Hendrick, but nobody saw this coming.

For the vast majority of the season, and even some chase races, Hendrick showed up to the track behind on speed to JGR, 23XI, and even Penske. If he closes it out, it's all time performance by that team. Until yesterday frickin Hocevar was the second highest Chevy in the points, back in 10th.

I only watched the last 200 laps. What happened with the Blaney and Berry incident?

No one wants to admit to anything because Nazcar will come down hard on them so everyone lies. Blaney got brake checked

Ryan Blaney to NBC about Josh Berry: "He decided to slam on the brakes and end our day. Don't really know why after a tiny little bit of contact, not even on purpose. Lost his mind and ended our day."

Berry and Hocevar in the same race smh. There should be penalties or this is going to become the norm ruining more driver’s day.

Blame Nascar. They weakened the front of cars to keep them from bumping cars ahead. But they didn’t weaken rear bumpers and drivers know they can take you out by brake checking vs spinning which looks worse.

They never think things thru. Shoulda just left front alone. Bumping to move/pass is part of sport. Now they cost teams big bucks and created paybacks that will likely come next year.
