I realized why they decided to not have resets during chase. Since chase drivers only get TV time and TV discussion this allows them to still pimp Bubba. In prior years he always got eliminated in first part of chase. It was crazy how much TV he got last week.

Reddick no longer has whatever Nascar gave him. Amazing his dropoff. But was strange how he was so awful and then for one stint he was great. Something was fishy.

Still think this year is designed for Hamlin. Larson is doing good but Nascar wants Toyota and Hamlin to win. So we’ll see what happens.

Brad Keselowski is leaving RFK Racing at the end of the season. From the RFK statement, it sounds like he will no longer be an owner of the team, as well.

CONCORD, N.C. (September 29, 2026) – Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing and Brad Keselowski today announced that Keselowski will conclude his tenure as driver of the No. 6 Ford Dark Horse Mustang following the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season, bringing to a close an important chapter for both Keselowski and the organization.

“We are big fans of Brad as a person, driver, and colleague. The impact Brad has made on our organization has been felt by everyone associated with RFK Racing; he’s undoubtedly been a terrific representative of our collective efforts both on and off the track,” said Chip Bowers, President of RFK Racing. “He was not simply driving the No. 6 car but investing himself in the future of the team and helping us think differently about what RFK Racing could become. We have tremendous respect for Brad as a champion, competitor, and leader, and we are grateful for the energy and commitment he has brought to RFK. Brad has been clear about his desire to continue competing for years to come, and we respect and support him in pursuing the path that best allows him to achieve those goals. With several races still ahead, we look forward to competing together through the remainder of the season.”

Keselowski joined Roush Fenway Racing as a co-owner in 2021, with the organization becoming Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing ahead of the 2022 season, when he also began driving for the team. Over the past five years, he has played a significant role in helping shape the team’s competitive direction by modernizing its efforts with an ambitious commitment to process and technology.

Keselowski will remain behind the wheel of the No. 6 Ford Dark Horse Mustang through the remainder of the 2026 season. RFK Racing and Keselowski intend to collaboratively and mutually work through the appropriate next steps regarding his existing ownership interest in the organization, and the team supports his desire to explore his career opportunities elsewhere.

RFK Racing remains committed to competing as a three-car NASCAR Cup Series organization in 2027 and will continue its active pursuit of a third charter. The team will announce future plans for the No. 6 team at the appropriate time. The search for a new head of competition, a position previously held by Keselowski, will begin immediately.

RFK Racing will continue to operate under the ownership of Roush Enterprises, building on Jack Roush’s decades of success in NASCAR, and Fenway Sports Group, a diversified global sports platform. Both ownership groups remain firmly committed to RFK Racing and its long-term success.

I have no idea where he could possibly be going unless Penske opens up a 4th car or Dodge has him in their plans.

Bet Brad and Kaulig have some sort of agreement. Huge get for Dodge considering what Brad did for them in the past.

Bob doesn’t seem to think he goes to Dodge.

I don’t think this was due to Brad going elsewhere, I think its a falling out.

Remember this quote:

Steub
@Steub_

That Brad K clip where he mention's Logano blowing by him with better FORD equipment..... and them being a "S**tbox team" I believe he said.

He’ll end up somewhere and it may be Dodge. But I think that would be just circumstance not planned ahead.

Has to be Fenway being happy as a middle tier team and pocketing money instead of spending. Brad isn't the kind of guy to just turn laps for the hell of it and collect a paycheck.

If it was just Larson I'd buy that JGR still has a significant edge, but there were several Chevys and Fords running well, especially Cindric. I think it's real and the field has tightened up.

Hamlin and Bell might still be favored but its closer than it was. Would be a hell of a flex by the 5 and Hendrick if they can pull it off with the way this year started.

Lundgaard had lost his ride at Arrow McLaren despite winning two races and finishing third in points this season; now he replaces Scott Dixon, who left Ganassi for McLaren.

Yeah, if I'm an employee at RFK I can't be encouraged by this news.

It'll be really interesting to see what he does. Gotta assume he wants another opportunity with an ownership stake.

Every week you’re eliminating drivers. I’d say the season is over for everyone after Gibbs. It’s statistically difficult to not only to have a great points day, but for everyone else in front of you to have poor days and miss out on points.

Its possible Nascar did the rug pull. There is no doubt in my mind they gave Toyota something in that back room. Perhaps they pulled the advantage as too many were wise and it was so obvious.

I don’t think it was Chevy just catching up. Sure, they made incremental changes during year but to me the biggest visual is Toyota is not dominating like before and I think Nascar pulled their advantage.

I know there was a late season rule update on how the floorpan is attached and allowed to flex, but to me that was smoke and mirrors and isn’t why Toyota ran so well. Something else happened quietly to slow down Toyota more than Chevy sped up. So it just seems like Chevy got that much better but I think Toyota had their secret sauce pulled.

I agree. But the charm for Nascar TV is they can still talk about “Chase” drivers no matter how bad they are. Used to be once eliminated in resets you were technically no longer a chase driver and only reset drivers got talk. Now they can still discuss bubba more because he’s still in the chase. TV has no scruples.

I wonder if Jeremy Bullins left after getting wind of this a couple of weeks ago.
