Ruud and Fonseca feels like a heavyweight fight. Casper got robbed in the second set tiebreak, this was called good on his set point.

Poor Rublev cannot get over the hump.

it sucks that mensik, ruud, zverev, and fonesca are on the same side of the bracket

eta hoping tiafoe can make a major final here but not sure if he can at this particular grand slam

Foe split the first two sets in tiebreaks. 2 hours 40 minutes so far.

The Italians are all playing at a very high level. I figured Berrettini was fully washed for good.

I watched Arnaldi a couple of times a year or two ago and thought he was rock solid. He is a lot better than 100 in the world. I noticed he ended up being a slight favorite today.

I caught the last few games of Berrettini/Comesana. Just an absolute war. Comesana is a gutsy counterpuncher. Berrettini was able to impose his will just enough with serve and forehand bombs. Berrettini looked like he did about five years ago.

Cobolli is an amazing shotmaker. I don't know if he quite has the power to win a major.

What the hell is Frances doing?

The lob at 30-15, followed by the drop shot at 30 all were terrible.

Foe totally threw that away. Absolute crusher when the bracket is wide open.

Once in a lifetime opportunity for a wide open slam with all the top names out and we get 0 Americans in the quarters. Gotta love it.

Really is shocking to have every single American male out the one year where the era’s big three are out.

It could be 5-10 years before another American man wins a slam.
