Said it was after Quali. So they would have been running minimal loads.

I don't believe his car was subjected to scrutineering in the race

Rule of thumb is that 10kg adds .3 seconds per lap. Being 6 tenths down per lap is wild.

Alpine is supposedly underweight, giving them the flexibility to balance the car with ballasts. They must not be doing a good job of deploying that Mercedes engine if they are still fighting with the Redbulls.

Yeah its pretty crazy that RB is that much heavier and when operating, actually somewhat competitive.

When RB gets the weight down and gets the cars reliable, they will be a force

This experiment didn’t last very long. Getting replaced after 2 races.

That's a good move. Always felt like his appointment was a late decision done so out of convienece and not necessity.

So what does that mean? Newey is basically relegated to doing the same job he was doing for RB?

Pretty much.

He majorly fumbled here and is probably keeping his job off his hype and history of build a few good cars.

Talk about a clusterfrick.

A new Team Principal isn't going to change anything until Newey fixies his fricking car.

On a separate note, I just purchased 3-day tickets to the Miami GP for me and my family. First time seeing F1 in person. We're sitting in the Start/Finish Grandstand (thankfully in the shade), but wanted to see if anyone has been to Miami and could give some pointers for the weekend. TIA

If Horner goes to AM it's going to be for a much higher role than just Team Principle. They are going to have to push out their current CEO and offer him that and restructure for Newey to report to him instead of Lawrence.

Looks like you’ll be near the celebutons faking an interest in F1. I would move out of the grand stand and walk around in between the grid walk and flag waving.

Why would I be excited if another country increased F1 viewers? It effects me zero point zero percent.

So your argument is that a worldwide sports viewership only matters in the US? It's like saying the EURO Leagues viewership in the US is the only viewership that matters on how it's doing.
