Lando looks like he is taking that James Hunt or Raikkonen path right now.

I never really understood FIFA until I understood the FIA (not a soccer fan).

I get the extra coin, but the crossed eyebrows and lost marketing will hurt.

Yeah, Liberty maybe cares but those who lead the FIA are going to get kickbacks and whores on a yacht in Croatia.

Not a bad deal, if I'm being honest.

in-depth interview with Nico Rosberg

That was a great pod. Nico is a really sharp and candid dude. I was fascinated by his recounting of the mind games Schumacher would play when they were teammates.

Ive heard some of his stories before. Like never looking at the other drivers telemetry or setup while together or never referring to the other driver.

Race week is upon us. Honestly, didn't seem like that long of a break this time. Maybe because we already had one earlier with the 2 cancellations

Speak for yourself.

I’m just hoping we have a competitive 2H.

Remember to update your prediction lists if you haven't already. Aston Martin appeared to leapfrog Cadillac, Williams, and Haas at the last round with the B-Spec car, plus they are expecting a few more horses from a Honda upgrade this week.

But at the end of this summer break we should expect upgrades from other teams as well, so who knows if we'll have closer competition at the front or more stratification.

Williams extends Albon for one more year. FT is flabbergasted.

Wonder how much they are paying him. I saw that they are likely to give Sainz 30 million a season. Not sure paying drivers that much is really the best plan for the poorest team. Especially giving Sainz a raise like that when it doesn’t even look like he had any options to go to another team.

They probably caved when he started crying like a bitch.

A lot of their pay comes from the sponsors they bring.

I figured the team payed them their contract salary and then any personal sponsorships they have pay them on the side.

Sponsors pay the team for a sponsorship. Team uses said sponsorship money to pay the driver and put a logo on the car.

Drivers also have personal sponsorships, but that's separate from their salary from the team.

Yep. Some sponsors follow drivers like Checo and Telmex or whatever Carlos Slim company he is promoting.

Huski Chocolate followed Erricsson from F1 to Indy

?? BREAKING NEWS: Carlos Sainz renews with Williams on a multi-year contract

?? He will earn 30 million euros fixed per season. There will be no bonuses for results, as that's something the team cannot offer at this time.

?? The agreement includes clauses tied to the team's performance, which would allow him to leave Williams prematurely.

?? The announcement is imminent.

Oh shite, we need confirmation before the prediction lists are locked! We may have to drag Yuki up from the Reserve list and drag Hadjar down to the Reserve list. If the Liam/Yuki team shuffle occurs, I'll work on changing their colors for this race.

We have two full days (Wednesday and Thursday) to get confirmation and update our lists.

Some people just aren't going to see the news and they're going to be screwed!
