Barring anything unexpected, this race is over.

Merc is miles ahead and yet we’ve barely seen their drivers race each other. They’ve only both been on the podium 3 times. You don’t have to worry about a papaya rules situation if you don’t ever let them get close to each other. George blamed his car for the wreck today not Lewis.

Toto just admitted they have the strongest engine.

He sure fricking did.

Seems like they’re taking jabs at each other in the media.

The only thing slowing down Merc is reliability

Yeah that was an interesting interview while he was holding back tears... I don't know if he wants to piss off Toto at this point with Max up for grabs.

Russell's Merc was out of the race before he got shunted. That thing got mugged hard by the Ferraris. Almost looked like he was having a power issue.

Russell was beached early in the race, and presumably MB got the car back. So why no send him back out? Sponsors are paying for (2) cars.

Car stayed track side until the end of the race. They usually come back way later.

No point running a car that can't get points. Just racks up engine and chassis wear.

Teams will not get the car back for a long time. Some of the street tracks have the cars on flatbeds going through the city.

If a car doesn't get back to the pits under its own power, you can't send it back out.

Also, if a car is beached, you can't get help to get it back on the track. I think the driver can push it himself (not sure about that), but no one else can touch the car and still have it eligible to continue to race.

IndyCar is far more lenient. You can get it restarted and pushed to get it going again.

The car cannot receive outside assistance, or it is disqualified
