So there have been a lot of tweets the last couple of days about how Fred Vasseur had called for a change in the 2026 start procedure a year ago, because he anticipated a problem with the rules. The other teams ignored his request, so Ferrari designed the PU system to work well within the procedure. Then last July someone else brought up the same issue and proposed a change, and Ferrari vetoed it.

OK but here's a supposed demonstration of how Ferrari can cope with a short start procedure...

That looks not good, they using all electric for the launch? Seems like it goes quiet on launch and then the engine kicks back in a second later.
If they give the 22nd car to line up that much time the cars in the front are gonna be starting on cold tires.

This is going to be chaos on the grid... I mean, I guess it benefits the front bc they will be in place and able to idle longer than those that pull up at the last second

A ford driver at the Bathurst 12 hour smoked a kangaroo at 140 kph.
“I just had to throw up, I had to vomit,” he said of his earlier reaction.
“The smell was incredible. I already had two showers. I still have the smell in my nose. I can tell you the inside of a kangaroo doesn’t smell very nice.”
- Chris Mies on the ‘Roo incident via Speedcafe.
This was his helmet after.

All a fricking ruse when you look at how much goes into the traveling circus that is F1.
I'd bet one trip to lets say, Singapore, cancels out all the sustainability they gain from their bullshite in a year.

Tell that to Sir Lewis who sold his private jet to lower his carbon footprint!!
…and not for reasons like saving money heading into retirement or especially the PR/brand bonus points.
