That is not correct. Ford has been involved with every aspect of the design and development. The entire power unit is labeled as a "technical partnership." Ford is involved in almost every aspect and even has facilities being used for part production.
I thought RB built the motor and Ford supplied the batteries

They made some comment about a ford engineer flying to Detroit and back to England with a prototype turbo that he had to carry on or something.

Thanks for that explanation. Makes sense it was something strange and not an actual radar gun misfiring.

Alpine was granted a hearing for an appeal. They have to bring "new information/evidence that was not available at the time"
Unless they have some sort of on board GPS telemetry or outside video not sure they stand a chance. Even with that the chance is slim.

Sounds like RB built the PU with help from Ford

Looks like Red Bull is not convinced they have the strongest engine, have asked the FIA for clarification.
I’m usually a fan of the special liveries they do but I think there is too much going on with this one but who knows, might look great on track.

F1 bosses have voted to move away from 50/50 power split for 2027.
It flashed quick, so didn't see what the new ratio would be, but there was a lot of talk that everyone outside of RB and Merc were against it. Guess that wasn't the case.

Just do away with the damn battery already

It gives incredible power and torque though.

That situation has prompted Red Bull to seek some clarity from the FIA about how the governing body came to its findings.
And following those discussions, The Race has learned the FIA has agreed to review its data from the opening five races of the season to double check its conclusions.
This will include evaluating the findings of power sensors fitted to each car that the FIA has used all season to check the output of each internal combustion engine.
The commitment to the review does not mean that its conclusion about Red Bull will change, but the FIA wants to be totally sure that its original findings are correct.

I’m kind of curious how they come up with the ICE’s power output as well.

I’m not sure how this is supposed to work. Are they only gonna throw out gasly’s penalty? If they admit they measured wrong are they gonna get rid of everybody’s penalties? Would Gasly still finish third in that scenario? If they redo the results will TouchedTheAxe redo our points?

Right now it is just right of review.
They have to present new information that wasn't available at the time of review. Usually that doesn't exist. Note: the data can exist and the stewards just didn't review it. Something like on-board telemetry existed and was available if the stewards wanted it, so it wouldn't be considered new. Unless the telemetry couldn't have been accessed.
If overruled then yes, his penalty disappears. Everyone else who served is just out of luck. That's the way it is.

So we could be about to swap one Frenchman on the podium for another. Esteban Ocon is seething.

Boy, that would piss off a lot of people if they:
1. Change the result so long after the race.
2. Undo only Gasly's penalty.
If they finally conclude that Gasly's position will be restored, I hope it happens during one of the on-track sessions this weekend so we can get Hadjar's instant reaction over the radio.
But yeah if they change the official result, I will re-do the TD F1 charts as well.

Why are they measuring only the ICE?
The battery, the chassis and and the aero are just as important to the car

Isack Hadjar on the ADUO result:
"I checked whether we had won the first six races of the year, and we haven't. This is a provisional result; nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
We'll see what they say when the time comes and the final decision is made. I don't have anything else to add."
