Dunno, but maybe we get a Mazespin return

Btw, what ever happened to him? When he was booted at the start of the Russia/Ukraine stuff, I guess he was blackballed by every racing league

I think he had run his course in most racing. Party boy life now. Billionaires kid.

The other Russian drivers just went and picked up a license from a non-restricted country.

I was following him on instagram for a while and unfollowed him not too long ago. The short answer is “everything”. One day he was racing ATVs and SxS, next he was doing snowmobiles, one day he was a triathlete, pretty sure he’s done some rally stuff, pretty sure he’s dabbled in being a DJ and a fitness influencer The guy is all over the place.

I mean, I see dozens of those every day at the gym with their tripods. Doesn't take much to do that

The two flag guys at Indy Motor Speedway certainly have a flair with their flag waving

I think he races F1 just to improve his sim results

I mean, he's made it pretty clear at this point. F1 is just a hobby masked as a day job. He doesn't do any SIM for it, all his sim is GT racing and he doesn't feel like he needs to accomplish anything else in F1.

Wants to regularly do endurance racing and isn't going to wait til his 40's to transition.

Which is sad because I think objectively he could have finished as the greatest, most accomplished F1 driver of all time. At this point, 20 years from now he'll just be one of a handful of multi-time champions.

It is funny to think that in 10 years if Max doesn't win another championship (or race) that he will likely be on the Top 10 overrated F1 champions. The sport is so in-the-moment for a lot.of fans.

LOLWUT

Max is in no way overrated. He is already a Top 5, if not Top 3 driver of all time. His competitors are:

Senna
Schumacher
Hamilton
Prost

This perfectly reflects my point. Right now he's just one in a list of 3 or 5 or 7 drivers. If he really cared, 20 years from now it could be Max clearly more accomplished than the list of 3 or 5 or 7 drivers.

Exactly.

At this point, he is same as Seb.
I think he needs to win another WDC, especially now that the formula has changed a good bit, to be considered anything more special than the rest of them.

Yep. In 10 years without another win the then current fans will say he was gifted his first championship and the car won the others since he had shite teammates.

It isn't a bad reflection on Max just saying he has a lot of work to do if he will be considered an all-time top F1 driver.

His skills alone make him one of the top. Championships =/= greatest.

Look what he did last year in the RB. It was a subpar car and he drug it to the very end on skill alone.

This year is a subpar car. The results reflect that.

Last year was the same car that dominated for years. They didn't fall off that much. His effort was pretty amazing but the car was far from a shitbox.

At the end of 2013 here were Seb's accolades:

Win in inferior Toro Rosso (pole and win)
Youngest World Champion to date
4 time world champion (almost 5 with 2009 Brawn collapse)
9 straight wins (most up to that time)
Legitimate teammate in Webber
Battled and beat Alonso and Hamilton still in their prime

2013 me would be disappointed I am bragging on Seb.
