What’s wrong with George? I like him. He’s polite, professional and better than most think.
I get hating Lando. Spoiled rich kid, who wouldn’t have gotten that far without his financier dad. Too involved on social media.

am I the only one that assumed the new cars would be slower? I was assuming the new power units would take time to work out but maybe the new aero more than makes up for it?

The lap times in this shakedown are 6 seconds slower than last year's pole lap.
They will be higher top end speed but will likely be 2 seconds slower around a track like this at the beginning of the Formula.

I think this is the incident that turned many against him. Before then, he was the likable Williams underdog, but people (probably rightly) didn't care for his entitlement of the Merc seat and how he slapped Bottas after the wreck and blamed him.
The truth is that he's a decent guy and a pretty damn good driver. He can be a little too PC at times, but he also has a leadership role at his team and on the GPDA (along with Sainz).

Yeah, I’m over it.
I don’t really know a ton about the driver’s backgrounds or whatever. Unless they’re a Russian oligarchs kid that’s beating women up in their free time I don’t really care how rich or poor they were.
Besides Bottas being so funny on social media I don’t see or care about a ton of their personalities outside of racing.

I don’t get hating on Lando for this at this point. He’s made the most of the opportunity he had, he’s obviously talented. Not like a Lance Stroll who acts like he doesn’t give a shite about it. Lando put in the work and made good on the investment his parents made.
George Russel’s dad invested 1.5 million pounds into his junior karting career.
Jos Verstappen wasn’t poor and im sure invested heavily in Max.
Oscar, Hulkenberg, Bortoletto, and Bearman all reportedly have wealthy parents. Checo made it because of the backing of a Mexican billionaire who is reportedly not a great person.
Albons mom went to prison for committing $7.5 million in fraud.
Just not sure why Lando gets singled out about his dad all the time.

Beating up any if the drivers for being spoiled rich kids is just funny at this point.
People aren't flocking to Ocon as their favorite driver and that dude was poor as shite in relative terms.

I’m a full on Cadillac fan going forward but it wouldn’t hurt my feelings to see Fernando win another one this year. I don’t expect Cadillac to be competing for podiums right away.
