Boring Cindric wins. Bleh.

Cindric beats Preece by a hood length.

Byron's paint scheme fricks.

Everyone is just stuck in line where they are. They can’t move around like they used to do.

I actually enjoyed that. Clean tight racing without any stupidity at Talladega? I'll take it.

I just don’t think you can maneuver these cars like the old ones. Everyone stayed in line.

Between the slower cars and fuel saving strategies, this sucks.
I’m hoping by the time Daytona comes back around we have about 10 crew chiefs who say screw it, run it wide open, screw the fuel saving strategy. Maybe that will be enough cars to get everyone to go at it the whole time.

This race was awful tV wise. I mean its just one pop up ad after another while not at commercial. The 2nd stage flat unwatchable. Then all these pit reports to talk to a gas man while racing is going on. And health reports. And all Mike Joy does is sell ads - everything he spouts is paid for by an ad. Same for other 2. Gotta get some Sonoco fuel instead of fuel. Gotta get some Goodyears instead of tires. It’s just frickery after frickery. Its impossible to watch these days.
Can you imagine if America gets a new F1 TV partner how fricked it too will be? One good thing about F1 is you get to see the whole race. But as people move to it the next contract will have side by side and pop up ad, guaranteed. Enjoy it now.
The race was bland because cars can’t move. The ending was good example. Imagine if they had more HP, Kyle can push the lead car out and pass up high because he’d have enough HP. If cars had to slow in corners it would spread them out more.
Races are just a 4 hour long commercial with very little actual racing. All race was strategy and fuel mileage not action in track. Most excitement was green flag stops and who would frick up.
I see whiney Logano got DQ’ed along with Preece. frick Logano big baby.
Byron had a chance spice things up if he pulls out of line with his teammate behind him. But he just rode which is all most drivers do these days.
Race move goes to Ross for blocking all the Toyotas. Ballsey move but it worked. But why didn't the Toyotas form a 3rd line long before end?
And wow, Hamlin taking out Bell that was a hard arse hit.
And why can’t Nascar mandate a flat front/rear bumper for plate races? The middle 4 feet.
Oh well, no one got killed so all is well.
Cars of Larson, TDillon, Berry, Wallace going to R&D for engine dyno and 5 and 21 will be inspected.
The Cup race at Talladega ended with a 62 lap green flag run.
This was the longest green flag run to end a drafting track race without a last lap accident since the 2004 July Daytona race
Oh, and this:

Congrats to @AustinCindric on his @TALLADEGA win. Good teammates are hard to come by, Boss! Remember that one of urs MFed u on national tv, when in all actuality, u did everything possible to keep from wrecking him. Hate to be #dueces in the ‘team’ meeting on Monday. Some people are ‘hooray for our team as long as I’m the star’ as every team has them. Hendrick, RCR, JGR, Penske, etc. Sometimes karma is glorious. Enjoy this one! In case anyone is confused, lemme be clear… @joeylogano

Spent the weekend at talladega with some buddies. Very much enjoyed Saturday at the arca and xfinity races. Did garage experience on Sunday…the race is too damn long. Has nascar thought of switching to the xfinity distance? I thought that was perfect.

Here’s the avg lap speeds, it was all about fuel savings.

The Xfinity cars are, in general, much better race cars than the Cup cars. They aren’t perfect, but they’re better.

As a few have said including Denny this car just has way too much drag. You can't make runs with it like you could with Gen 4 /5. You combine that with the fuel saving/ stage caution BS and you can get this product. The days of Kevin Harvick going from 15th to winning Daytona in 07 are dead.
Nascar needs to eliminate stage cautions. And add more power. There's no chance in hell F1 would allow a lower series product to outshine the main draw. Xfinity is doing that at Daytona and Talladega, despite Austin Hill winning every damn race lol.
This car is garbage at 2/4 styles of tracks. Short and Supers. Road Courses are 50/50. The only thing it's good at is the 1.5s
