I dropped out of my NASCAR Fantasy league this year. Just don't care enough anymore. I love racing, but not this.

No matter how much it pains you, he earned that win. He beat Larson on the restart twice. If you'd have taken your hood off long enough you might have noticed.

Nah. But it was a popular win amongst his competitors. Again, probably couldn't see that through your hood

I don’t like Mexico being off the schedule. But this seems like a one year thing. With the World Cup next year, it’s just too much to pull off.

I’m glad they’re going back to Chicagoland, though. I think the Next-Gen car should have a shot to put on a good show there.

I think so too. I just don’t want to see less than 6 road races. I can stomach 5. But 6 is the perfect number.

Did any of you see Truck Series regular Stewart Friesen’s dirt car crash Monday night? If not, here it is. Fortunately, he avoided serious head, neck and back injuries, but his pelvis is fractured in two places and he has a fractured right leg. He will require surgery for both of these injuries.

Yeah. Saw that. Brutal crash. Looks like chassis got crushed in on him. His wife gives occasional updates.

Xfinity is so much better than Cup. But Nascar is so all over the map on cautions. Most of race had a quick trigger. Then the one time they needed a quick yellow they leave it green with oil on track and wiped some cars out. Then last lap quick again.

Love the booth better for Xfinity than Cup. Jamie Mac is good. Both actually add excitement instead if drab dull commentary. But camera work is bad. Still better racing though.

Won’t watch Cup other than highlights as its going to be a Bubba love-fest. Finally wins a race after over 3 years and they will work every (DEI) angle they can tomorrow. Mark my words it will be nothing but a Bubba show sprinkled in with some racing.

Another race where tires don’t matter.

I say it every week, tires do not matter with this car.

The cautions are getting out of control.

All of these cautions are probably going to allow Boring Byron to make it on fuel and win the race.

The biggest thing that I learned today is that the % of fuel left thing that NBC/USA shows on their scorebug is absolutely inaccurate and useless.

I flipped it on between one of the stages and it was like a corn and ethanol celebration that they paused to cover the pit stops for 30 seconds.

I was like nah, frick this. Went and played golf. Doesn’t look like I missed a thing.

A Hendrick or Gibbs car won a boring race and Hocevar was scrapping with some back marker for 25th. Yep, that’s about the 15th time this year.

I try to keep up with the sport. I still read just about every post in this thread, but damn it’s just hard to care anymore when it’s all just an infomercial, the broadcast talks to me like I’m 6 years old, and the whole industry simps for the governing body.

Interesting video of Sr. testing in Japan in 1996.

What makes it so unusual is that there is a camera in Dale’s pedal box showing his footwork, which I don’t think was shown anywhere else. He is shifting without the clutch (rev matching? The tech in the cars at the time?).

Earnhardt normally did not like a camera in his car.
