That was pure poetry in motion. The Wienie 500 just put the rest of the weekend races on notice. Lol

Blown engine
Photo finish
Buxton calling a Chicago dog a "chi-dog" instead of a "shy-dog"
Lots of double entendre puns

How did they determine between Newgarden and Power who would start 32nd vs 33rd?

Schwartzman struggled mightily on carb day. Struggled to make pace i traffic. Sato engine trouble. Hunter-Reay blew and caught fire. Rahal blew up. A lot of incidents but no crashes.

Anyone want to give their predictions before the race starts?

How about:

Who you WANT to win
Who you predict WILL win
Any other predictions you'd like to give

For me:

Want to win: Sato
Predict to win: Pato

Other:
1. Shwartzman will not finish in the top 10.
2. Dixon will have bad luck again.
3. Graham will whine on the radio about something.
4. Santino for once will not finish in the top 10.
5. Penske will have one car in the top 5.
6. Rasmussen will crash.

Was so fortunate to have such a wonderful dad who loved automobile racing and I was so lucky to be at the 1969 Indy 500 when Mario andretti won then returned again in 1977 for AJ Foyts. Fourth win 1978. al unser then1979. Rick mears and then back again in 1981 with the Mario andretti Bobby Unser controversy. I can remember sitting and watching Andretti back in line and Bobby Unser coming out passing all the cars coming out of pit Lane and I told my dear Aunt I said he will be penalized and sure enough it happened but with all the reviewing body Bobby unser got the win and he did have the best car that day. No doubt about it. Then once again in 1985 was able to be there for the Danny Sullivan $360 and his victory. Have not had the opportunity to get back there since then. Thank you Dad for all the wonderful races. Miss you. I know you'll be watching from heaven today. Love you, my race and brothers. If you ever get the chance, I encourage you to go to the Indianapolis 500. I'm a big Nascar fan. More so a IndyCar fan. But I tell you all my brothers. It is the greatest spectacle in racing. Godspeed to you racing fans and to all drivers.

Parked at Speedway High School at 5:01 with my dad this morning. This is our 3rd together, and I hope we have several more. Our first was in 2022, and I never could have imagined how incredible of an event it truly is.

Want: Rossi
Will: Pato
