Leclerc isn't leaving Ferrari
Imagine what he could do in a Mclaren or Mercedes.
At some point he has to want more wins, right?

If Leclerc knows he can make the jump and win, sure. I just don't think that opportunity is as easy as it seems. Alonso made a career of misjudging/missing opportunities.
Max is allegedly a free agent next year. Whoever has the fastest car has an opportunity to land Max but that team needs an open spot and needs to be willing to rock the boat. If it is someone like Merc and George wins why would they risk complicating the situation bringing Max in?

Max would be an idiot to jump next year having no clue who was where with the new regs. I could easily see him making a move in 2027 if RBR doesn't field somwthing he can win in though.

I don't think there's a team in the field who wouldn't shitcan one of their drivers in exchange for Max, including McLaren.

is he going to be the oldest driver ever in F2?
Posted on 10/21/25 at 11:38 am to barry
I was going to make a joke about grandpa joining F2 to run with the young bucks. Then I looked and saw he was only 25. I thought he was older. That's still old for F2, but not crazy old.
eta: Looks like he'll be second oldest if Ritomo Miyata raes next year. He's 26. There's one other 25 year old: Richard Verschoor.

De Vries and Latifi were both pretty old for F2.

He'll be 26 in March.
I also thought he was like 28

I wonder whose seat Pato will be taking?

Whoever has the most repercussions against him.
Should be Oscar right? Hasn’t Lando already let someone sit in a FP1 this year?

Just looked it up and I think both drivers have given up an FP1 this season. I think both have to give up two so this weekend will I guess be Lando. Looks like Piastri is scheduled to miss FP1 in the last race of the season. Doesn’t seem ideal for a championship contender.

Gotcha. Thanks for checking. I don’t think it hurt Lando at all the weekend he did it, think he won or got on Pole.
Saw this article just now.
RACER
Saw this article just now.

ABC’s live telecast of Sunday’s Formula 1 United States Grand Prix from Circuit of The Americas attracted the largest U.S. television audience on record for the event as an average of 1.5 million viewers tuned in for the race-only portion of the telecast. The audience was up 14 percent over last year’s race viewership, based on Nielsen Big Data + Panel data. The audience marked the 12th event viewership record set this season in 19 F1 races, with all but two of the 19 experiencing year-over-year audience growth. Viewership peaked at 1.6 million between 4:15-4:30 p.m. as Max Verstappen drove to victory, further tightening up the battle for the F1 driver’s championship with only five races left in the season. The race telecast, which ran from 3-4:45pm ET, also attracted 539,000 average viewers in the ages 18-49 demographic, an increase of 10 percent over last year’s race.

Why I posted it.
We will see.
Think I saw something about them making their MLS playoffs? coverage free for everyone coming up.
Probably because they’re not getting the viewers they had planned? Who knows

I had two people at work on Monday tell me they had seen at least parts of the race. Now they didn’t know if they were watching INDYCAR or F1 but with it being on ESPN mid afternoon they had at least seen a few minutes of it. Zero chance that woulda happened if it had been on Apple+

All right you guys, the prediction lists for the Mexican GP will be locked tonight.
Here's last year's qualy:

Here's last year's race:
formula1.com/en/results/2024/races/1248/mexico/race-result
Unusual race. Carlos got pole and the win. Oscar got left out at Q1 but worked his way to P8 in the race. Max lost places from qualy to race result. Haas got a double points result ! Someone with a better memory can provide some detail. The only thing I remember about the race was Perez clashing with Lawson and having a disastrous weekend.
