I hope this is speculation and bot something he actually thinks. His original comments were that he didnt expect it to happen.
Mclaren has done a great job letting them race and not showing a favorite. Hope it continues.

If Piastri can't see what he did wrong, that's not on the team. That's on him.

So what do you do if you're Toto and are able to sign Max.
With Kimi and George's contracts up after this year, do you re-sign the terrorist and give yourself the more solid chance to win constructors titles over the next 5 years or continue to invest in Kimi not knowing whether he'll improve on the flashes of brilliance he's shown so far.

Interesting dilemma, Russell is probably where he is going to be at as a driver, so you know what you have or do roll the dice on the new kid, who could be the next great driver.
I do agree Max and Russell could be a very good duo and compete for the constructors

What drivers are off contract at the end of this season?

Yuki, Lawson, Hadjaar, Colapinto, Kimi, and George all have contracts that end this year

If Max leaves for Merc , who does Merc go after for #2 and who does red bull get for #1 and #2?
I can see Russell wanting to be the #1 driver wherever he is.

They already have him, Kimi...
Kid is doing extremely well for his first season in the car. Consistently in the midfield with some glimmers of Top 3.
Max would be ecstatic to have a decent #2 like that.

Im watching the 6h of Sao Paulo, and it hit me that I never see MBS butting in on WEC broadcasts. Just F1.

WEC drivers are the only ones who have really stood up to his BS.
MBS is just guiding the way for the Saudis to eventually own F1. There are a lot of votes in that region so voting him out appears a lot tougher than initially believed.

Great. Makes me like Lando dropping the F bomb after the win last weekend even more.

Rally drivers protested swearing fines recently and won. They refused to do post race interviews or only did them in their native languages. FIA backed down and allowed swearing in the heat of the moment but not in press conferences and halved the fines.

I would love for Perez to come out and smoke Red Bull every race just bc
Posted on 7/14/25 at 10:32 am to Split2874
I want him to win because it is Cadillac but as far as Perez, I just want him to beat Red Bull.
If Bottas goes to Cadillac I want him to win.

It's not sexy, but I think Checo/Bottas would be home run. No need to have some overzealous rookie in there destroying cars. This is gonna be a slow process and I'd imagine they are both pretty useful when it comes to car development.

yeah at first i was hopeful a top indycar driver would take the seat. but why leave to be a back marker? hopefully checo and bottas can help get the car ready for the next guys.

Welp they are gonna lose a lot of US fans.

I guess the question is whether Liberty makes more off the Apple deal than they'd lose in a potential F1 sale if viewership drops in the US? The again, if the Saudi purchase happens, it's been proven they'll ignore market prices and throw stupid money at things, so it may be a win-win for Liberty. Bank an extra 60 million a year and hang your hat on the hopes of Saudi frick-you money.
