Cmon NBCSports. You're our only hope.
Who does Indy? Is that NBC? Whoever it is, they're awful. I have a hard time watching Indy because of the broadcast. Commercials every three laps, useless timing board, and awful commentators. It's s shame, because Indy has good racing, but it's ruined by the broadcast. Same with IMSA, but at least I have the option to VPN into the European broadcast for that.

Well in reality, I'm sure whoever gets them, they will do the same as ABC and just re-brodcast SkySports.

Fox took over IndyCar races this year

man if it's like mls and you have to pay an additional charge to watch on top of the subscription, that's gonna destroy viewewship.
Did something change with this? It used to be you could subscribe to MLS via AppleTV+ but you did not need an appleTV+ subscription to watch it in the app. I know this to be true because I did it/used it that way. I didn't subscribe this year due to SKC being donkey dick.

We have a good thing going with espn broadcasting the sky feed. All the practices and qualifying. I’ll be sad when it’s over.

Max woiuld be stupid not to go to Merc... Its his only option if he wants to win a drivers at this point.
Not doing it with RB and the shitshow there
Ferrari and Mclaren are locked down
AM, even with Newey isn't a contender.

For sure. I’d like to see him go to AM to further spread the wealth and make them a top team for a bit I guess but Merc is probably the best option.

Agree, but Max has to look out for Max and if winning a championship is his goal, Merc is the only option over the next few years.

Merc definitely seems like the safe bet but I don't think AM should be counted out. They'll be running Honda PUs next year who's shown they can build a rocketship as long as they have time to develop, with Newey and all the other aero dorks they've picked up I think AM could be a darkhorse contender. Though I doubt AM will be willing to pay him enough $$, plus if AM has a contender Pappa Stroll will want the Window Licker in position to take advantage.

just a sexier version of ad's meeting with agents at airport hotels.

I’d bet money that Max is a bit weary of driving with bonehead teammates.

How much longer do we think Lance has left? And Alonso?
Posted on 7/11/25 at 1:53 pm to BottomlandBrew
Lance is drsiving until he quits or daddy is broke.

I guess that's my question. I'm sure he'll stick it out through at least next season to see how the new regs go, but he has to be tired of losing by now, no? I know I would be. You're a billionaire who is decent, but not good enough to win. Have some self awareness. Hang it up and go sail around the world on your yacht with a good looking woman at your side.

Or his boy toy (NTTAWWT).

McLaren fan here...the absence of Piastri in all the recent celebration photos at HQ is noticeable. He probably doesn't blame the team for his loss but he wasn't happy they wouldn't switch him back to the front since they agreed the penalty was bogus.
Even though Horner is gone, I still see Oscar as their primary target if Max leaves. I could see him jumping to be the primary driver if he believes Red Bull can compete with the new regs.
Now, I have to decide if I want Russell to replace Piastri if this happens...

i don't see him ditching mclaren for red bull. RBR is a total mess with leadership and staff. mclaren will have the merc PU, rumors are red bull's PU will be a toaster.

Also a McLaren fan. Oscar is proving to be quite ruthless. I’m a bigger fan of Lando, but there’s no denying Oscar’s desire to win, and I won’t ever blame him for it. I honestly don’t think Lando is getting any kind of preferential treatment, but has just made less mistakes since his big one in Canada. If Oscar feels differently, he’s imagining it.
