Saw SkySports post that Toto has confirmed that Mercedes is interested in signing Max...

Man I hope not. I've been a Merc fan since the team formed with Schumi/Rosberg. I started watching F1 full time back in 2012 when NBC sports started showing the races. But there is no way I could root for Max. I'm Ford guy for life but can't root for them in the Red Bull either. Guess it'll just be McClaren and Williams moving up from 2nd and 3rd fav.

You would have loved the 70s and 80s, when half the field was powered by Cosworth.

Baw sent it on cold brakes and full fuel. Grosjean school of racing.

The guy on the outside was a dick too. He tried to go to the apex with the middle car right there. But he'll escape scrutiny because of the guy on the inside being an idiot.

Is the RB car just too difficult to drive or is Yuki just really not as good as his ego seems to think he is?

Q1 times are crazy tight. Much tighter than the practice times.

Like they said the difference between Lawson in P3 and Yuki in P18 was 0.3s.

In the VCARB at the start of the year, he qualified P5 in Australia, P8 in the China sprint, and P9 for the China main race. Then he got "promoted" and has struggled mightily since. If he had stayed at VCARB, his season would be going similarly to Hadjar.

Yuki exposed… Had seems like the second best RB driver by far these days.

Could be VER has been with the red bull that he just has faith the car is going to be there in the corner. Has been with the car through the whole progression.

Next year could change the feel of the cars a lot, might be the best chance to bring in someone new. Until then they are just sacrificing driver careers and confidence.

My ideal front row. Happy for Lando. He was properly quick compared to Oscar for whatever reason so far this weekend.

Sainz had some comments this week about Lando and how he has lost a lot of feel for the car. Seems like something that McLaren should be able to sort out.

Think this battle goes all the way to Abu Dhabi.

Yep. Something to do with the revised front suspension or not I’d imagine too.

Not a single person predicted Lando to win. But he has to be the heavy favorite from pole, especially with Max struggling and if Shaarl can hold Oscar back for a while.

A lot of drivers are wildly out of place from where most people expect them to be. Overall the scores are going to be a bit low, and as usual it's impossible to tell whose list might have the advantage.

Im a little lost predicting this race after qualifying.

What tire compounds do we have this week? One-stopper?
