I’m just trying to keep the peace and keep the focus on the current race, that said I’m not going to stop anyone from saying whatever they want to say.

First crash. Sam Mayer, Kyle Weatherman, Daniel Suarez and Hayley Deegan.

Field got stacked up and a chain reaction crash.

Bad night for Daniel Suarez.

Too bad Suarez is already done. I kinda liked the Wendy's scheme.

Here’s one of the angles NASCAR used to determine that Byron won the Daytona 500. You can see the yellow light on near the bottom right just before the flag stand. At that point, as the photo shows, Byron was in the lead.

Bowman was hitting Byron pretty hard and that turned Byron down into Keselowski.
Bowman caused both late wrecks. Also hung his teammate out to dry. Hate it because was shaping up to be a great last lap.
Nothing can be learnt from this race. It’s mostly luck.
Season starts next week. But there was likely over $10m wrecked tonight.
Chase got through the big one by an inch. Good driving he never over reacted and kept it straight and after most of way through a car below him came up and rubber his left front fender and he had to catch the car. Was in a good spot for a top finish until Bowman fricked up and dried him out.

You two need to get a room.

Chase admitted in the post race that he fricked up his line decision and that's why he fell back.
Maybe he's just being diplomatic?

Damn, this sport is lacking star power.
There’s a whole lotta “Who?” in that top ten.

Suarez has angered the racing gods somehow. Two crashes in which he was an innocent bystander. And he needs every result too.

Kyle Busch was in the top-10. The biggest star in the sport (Elliott), finished 14th mostly due to his teammate dicking him over

Nope, every D500 is like this. Its such a crapshoot race that qny team can win. Normal back-markers stay in back all day to avoid wrecks then race the last 10 laps once field is thinned out. Its normal. Look at the last 3 prior winners.
Real racing begins next week and is more driver dependent than luck.

2 things.
1) This race bore out, once again, why, unlike everyone else who follows the sport, I detest "plate" or pack racing. Drive around waiting on the the wreck. Then the winner comes from the driver who doesn't have the best car, they're just the luckiest.
2) The guy who triggers "the big one" shouldn't be rewarded with the race victory...
Down vote away.

Petree; "I was worried about that." with zero emotion.
Totally expected.

20 pushed the 2 too much and around the 2 went.
