Its like Steve Earle saying the record company made him change the line "thirty-seven dollars and a Jap guitar". Don't want to offend that vast Japanese-American country audience.

Nascar has lost their fricking minds...dirt tossed on top of Bristol, this bullshite. Unwatchable.
Did you see the EV Nascar race car?

I’m just saying… it’s not raining in Daytona.

But racing at Daytona this weekend would be a TRADITION, and NASCAR just doesn't do tradition anymore.

This guy is to NASCAR what Jay Monahan is to the PGA Tour.
Both have destroyed what was once a great traditional schedule (ex: Players Championship in June, Daytona 400 in July, just to name one in each) and completely screwed it up.
They are also both woke.
Jim France must be the laziest of the France crowd by not stepping up and putting an end to this. Maybe he is CEO in name only, just to keep the France name in NASCAR.

Firecracker 400 was the greatest summer race.

They are definitely running out of things to talk about.

The Firecracker 400 at 10 a.m. on July 4 was fantastic.
Ain’t no TV network gonna cotton to having a live sports event in the US at 10 a.m, and when you get later in the day in July in Daytona you run the risk of what’s happening now in Chicago.

I don't understand why Nascar has street races. Most of these guys can only drive in circles.

How dare you speak nuance in here amongst a bunch of raging women on the rag.

Hell they tried and failed to outbid Indy car for Long Beach.

This place doesn’t do nuance in any shape, form or fashion, ever. Witness the baseball thread I got caught up in last night.

"Let's put a big opening in the top of the windshield and then wonder why water pours in when racing in the rain."-Nascar

This Chicago race definitely could use an earlier start time given the fact that there is no option to run it after dark or the next day if rain causes a delay. This race won’t make its scheduled distance. We just hope it can at least make it to the halfway point.
I know it’s all about the network and ratings, but you can’t tell me rain shortened races filled with long rain delays bring better ratings. If this race had started at 1:30 CT, they likely would have run the scheduled distance.
