Franklinton defense did a tremendous job in the second half. Just take away that one pass

It’s funny you say that (great one liner by the way ), but before the game the announcer made the comment that the #1 seed (franklinton) was the underdog and I was wondering how they came to that conclusion

Before the commercials, I was halfway expecting to hear something like “the Lhsaa championships brought to you in part by Draft Kings”

From one angle it looked like the DB tried to knock it down with both hands and either whiffed or just barely tipped it

I feel horrible for that kid

Coach Salt came in and turned the program around in short order, and I can’t be mad at that.

No doubt with the history of Franklinton coaching hires in recent history outside of Shane Smith, Franklinton has to find a way to hold on to Salt for a time. If they do they will win another one. I’m sure if anyone can get him to stay it will be Shane.

He put both hands up to deflect it and did deflect it, unfortunately he deflected right to the Wide Receiver behind him for the Touchdown. He did what he was taught to do by the coaches but it didn’t go his way. It sucks, but that’s just the way football goes sometimes.

That’s what I’m hoping for. Shane gave two coaches a chance because he’s loyal, and a good person. One that goes back to the 90’s when I played, and the other coach was a former player under Shane Smith. Franklinton will still have talent next year and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Franklinton make another run next year.

In a small town like that, unfortunately he’s gonna carry that with him for a long time. I hope franklinton makes it back next year and wins it

And for the record I have no affiliation with franklinton, I just pass through there on my way to the hunting camp and it’s a cool town..

What’s the ruling on this?

LINK

In case the link doesn’t work, it’s HS football, and there’s an interception in the end zone. DB appears to attempt to run it out the end zone but drops it in celebration and other team recovers..

Is it a dead ball as soon as the int happens in the end zone? Or can you attempt to return it after?

I was sad to see Frank Pentangeli and the Demons lose such a heartbreaker tonight.

Happy for Cecilia!
Longtime great TCH coach Sonny Charpentier finally gets a ring as the qb coach.

Catholic New Iberia winning a state title. That is cool. and Cecilia!
That takes me back to high school in the late 70s when we were playing those teams every year.
