LMP2 class winner 19-yr old Nolan Siegel from Palo Alto was the one guy that was bumped from the Indy 500 four weeks ago. He crashed and flipped the car during practice, and then he crashed again on his final qualy run on bump day. Nice turnaround.

Pretty solid race. Ferrari caught some good luck and favorable calls. Toyota caught some bad luck. That's how it goes.
Good to see Proton on the podium for the GT3 category.

I’m gonna go to Le Mans one year and just rage the entire time, in the stands, at the rave in the infield, May even get in a car

Amazing that after 24 hours and 311 laps, there's only a 14 second difference between 1st and 2nd.
BoP has made the cars even and too reliable.

Was that Alpine’s F1 team principal in the pits with the WEC team?

Was a great "20" hours of Le Mans. First time since easy access to all 24 hours I didn't watch it all in real time, I was short on sleep going into Saturday morning and died with 4 hours left. If I had known the rain safety car would go on for hours I would have napped then.
I am a Ferrari/Porsche fan in general and prefer Ferrari in Hypercar so it was a good race for me. Hypercar is really great and resurrected the top class. LMP1 was just horrible for years in terms of competition.
I have never gotten into the second class because it isn't manufacturer based but was pulling the AO "Spike the Dragon" which finished 6th in class but was a Pro/Am car so they weren't going to win.
In GT3 I am a Porsche/Ferrari/BMW fan so it was a reasonably good race for me. I really wanted V. Rossi's #46 WRT BMW to win, they had a good chance until Ahmed Al Harthy binned the car in the night.
All manufacturers I dislike (GM, Lamborghini, and McLaren) had a bad day so a cherry on top for me. The Iron Dames (all female drivers) came in 5th in class and beat the majority of the GT3 class. It is interesting to me women seem to have a knack for endurance racing seemingly closer to the men than in most other racing disciplines. I wonder how they would have done if they hadn't been driving a tractor.
Some days things are just right in the world. Forza Ferrari! Back 2 Back bitches.

F1 for the next three weekends!
June 23 Circuit de Catalunya
June 30 A1 Ring (plus sprint race)
July 7 Silverstone
At that point the season will be exactly half over (12 of 24 races).
And there will actually be five races in the next six weeks:
July 21 Hungaroring
July 28 Spa
And then the four-week summer break in August. Time to check up on Fall camp.

it is good filler for the MotoGP break.

And if you've ever heard someone speak Catalunyan. Regular Spaniards don't understand half of what they're saying. It's not as bad as Edinburgh vs Glasgow accents but it's a pretty big difference.

I was reading an article--I cant remember the exact topic of the article--and the author mentioned taking a taxi in Barcelona. Talking to the driver, he found out that the guy was from Madrid, but that he had spent the last 20 years working as a taxi driver in Barcelona. So he asked the driver if he could speak Catalan. His response was "No, why should I? I am Spanish, and this is Spain, so I speak Spanish!

Both of Alpine's hypercar entries in the 24 Hours of Le Mans didn't finish.

They can't build a decent engine to save their life.

Can’t build a decent engine, car was way too heavy to start their season. Already fired Ocon and will prolly replace him with a junior driver because nobody else wants the seat. I’m sure Gasley would jump if given an opportunity.
They have recently sold 24% to American investors such as Ryan Reynolds, Michael b Jordan, Patrick Mahommes and Travis kelce.
Those guys would prolly see their investments increase significantly with GM and Andretti
