I think won that tournament because of Stroman pitching out of his mind in the final and the offense allowing Nieshek to act like a setup guy

Look at the US roster. Look at who is theoretically available for pitching. This staff is a joke. If you’re bringing 13 pitchers Pressly and Bednar are on the border for me as relievers, everyone else besides them and Williams is a clear no. There isnt a single starter on this roster who is on the best US roster. DeGrom, Burnes, JV, Gausman, Bieber, Cole, Manoah, etc
When it comes to world baseball, pitching is where the US holds a massive advantage over its competitors. The top two tiers or more aren’t in for obvious reasons

Agreed. Stroman pitching out of his mind was a big part of 2017

Adam Ottavino is a good relief pitcher

No way the Mets let DeGrom or the Yanks let Coke come unfortunately unless it’s a semi or a Final and both guaranteed a start with 70 pitches.

I doubt the Mets give a shite if deGrom throws 1,000 pitches

Mets don't have any say in that.

Sure he’s pretty good. Pretty good American pitchers are a dime a dozen in pro baseball. He’s not close to a real roster of the best

I forgot he was a Ranger now. My bad

A real RFer as opposed to a 2nd baseman would have made that throw smh

Have we seen the Mensch on the Bench doll yet this tournament?
One of best things of 17.

It's a decent crowd, but so far, it hasn't been anywhere near as fun as Tokyo, Taiwan and Miami.
