No wonder the committee was garbage. They were led by some Carlton Banks nerd from Bradley.

5 seed for duke seems pretty low for a team that finished the season on fire and won the Acc, but they did get a good bracket.

Crap I just looked at K-State's bracket again. They are going to do everything they can to set up Duke vs. Kentucky aren't they?

How did LSU almost beat Kansas State

K-State hadn't completely jelled yet. They didn't figure out who they were until they started conference play when they beat West Virginia and Baylor in overtime and put up 116 against Texas.

Houston being the #2 overall seed is proof they had them slotted before the game today. Because Memphis stayed on the 8/9 line despite that win. Both of those teams were penciled into those slots regardless of their result today.

UH’s best player didn’t play today, so there’s that.

yeah and they got fricking killed.

bill self possibly not being available is a factor for seeding apparently, so was that (+ mccullar out) not a factor in their loss last night? or no, that one counts?

Biggest casualty of 9/11 was getting rid of the old 8 team sub-regionals.

frick the pod system that started in 2002. We get shite like Auburn in Birmingham out of it.

This is what a bracket used to look like. Everyone in the same place.

Thanks, Osama

4 seed for UVA is terrible work by the committee, especially as the computer rankings that are supposed to be the objective criteria hate UVA.

Duke is in a weird spot where they actually have a good path outside of Round 1, even though a 5 seed seems low.

I mean winning games in March is challenging. 1 and 2 seeds are meant to be tough, but Purdue and Marquette are less challenging to me than the other 1/2 seeds.

But that’s a challenging 5/12 based on Oral Roberts being the only unbeaten team in conference play all year. I can see out in Round 1 or the Elite 8.

UVA, Michigan State, and Kansas State seem like the biggest overseeds but I haven’t looked that closely yet.

Practically everyone on ESPN's bracketology picked Duke, Alabama, Texas, and UConn to get to the Final Four. I think one person picked Arizona over Alabama, and maybe there was one pick for Houston and one for KU but there was not much variety. Seemed like about half were picking Alabama to win it all and half were picking UConn to win it all. Seems strange for everyone to pick the same #5 seed and the same #4 seed to win regionals to me.

Memphis is gonna truck Purdue anyway but Memphis will have a NET of 25 or 26 tomorrow and get an eight seed.

Committee gets worse every year.
