I’ll tell my Talladega infield story, was there with friends in 1976 and some guy came wandering up, shirtless and shoeless and filthy. We started talking to him and he didn’t know how he’d gotten there. He said the last thing he remembered was tripping on LSD and next thing he knew he was in the Talladega infield. Swear to the Almighty that’s a true story.
