I love the old F1 cars with tobacco companies on them

Not as strong an accent after living in Louisiana the last 21 years.
Try a coonaussie accent.

I've been impressed with the driving of the three rookies so far. None of them have binned a car and all have driven solidly given what they have to drive.
Yup, with Mazepin, Latifi, and Schumacher gone, Sargeant, de Vries, and Piastri have collectively been a large upgrade in talent. This bodes well for more good battles in the mid-field, and less frustration with backmarkers causing yellow and red flags.
Also Yuki (Year 3) has been driving solid if not spectacularly. Zhou (Year 2) has been OK, and Hülkenberg has been solid in his return.
Can't wait for Australia! Remember last year Albon started P20 and went 57 laps on a set of hard tires, waiting until the last lap for his mandatory pit stop. He entered the pits in P7 and came out in P10 just ahead of Zhou, holding him off for a spectacular and wholly unexpected points finish. I hope that inspires someone starting near the back to try a similar strategy this year.

McLaren MP4/4 was the most beautiful and dominant F1 car of all time
I guess you could say Prost's as well.
I always like the MP 4/5B a little more. I like the raised airbox and the fact that it was the car where the V10 was introduced by Honda to F1. Always find it interesting that they bailed on the v10 and went with the v12 after only two years.

Still shocking to see how small the cars were back then. They are downright tiny, especially compared to recent years. Also, the tobacco sponsorships were so iconic, not that tobacco advertising is a good thing, but it seems a shame it's gone. The money they brought into the sport and the sheer number of drivers that they backed going away has hurt the sport as well.
Funny thing is the "Mission Winnow" sponsorship that Ferrari had for years is just a thinly veiled Phillip Morris ad. Going to their website is hilarious. It's the most vague buzzword filled copy about "change and reframing conversations" that basically comes down to "we're a shell company that was created to get around tobacco advertising laws."

A Better Tomorrow is Mclarens version of hidden tobacco.
The Ferrari barcode was one of the best.

Loved the days when Williams was winning all those Constructors titles and Canon was their major sponsor.
Nigel Mansell losing out on the '86 title when his left rear tire shredded.
Mansell was perfectly placed to take the title, starting from the pole position and only needing a third place finish to secure the title when the rear tire blew.

Only have yourself to blame.
I'm banking on the Merc and Mclaren upgrades coming in hard.
