Ford confirms its return to F1 with
@RedBullRacing from 2026.
Ford was last in F1 in 2004.
.
@JimFarley98: "We will be competing to win in F1, the pinnacle for motor sport, with Red Bull Racing. You will see the world’s most popular sports coupe, the Mustang, race from the grass roots to Australian Supercars to NASCAR to Le Mans."

I wanna see a cosworth v8 growling around the circuit without all this battery powered bullshite. Bring the roar back to F1

Don't do General Admission for Austin. Just pay a bit more and get in the stands. It's worth it.
But I agree about doing Montreal over Austin of possible.

I know nothing about F1 other than Max & Redbull & Honda are the reigning champs, so other than money, why would Redbull switch to Ford 3 seasons from now if Honda had powered them to the championship?
Posted on 2/4/23 at 9:16 am to bigpoppadiesel35
Honda is an engine producer and they left the sport. Red Bull will make their own engines in the interim

Honda is getting out of F1.

Honda has be rumored to be very interested in 2026 engine rules.
Seems there was a shakeup since the decision to leave.

Hope Honda stays. Would love to see each team have their own engine manufacturer, or as close to it as possible. Merc, Ferrari, Ford rbp, audi sauber, Honda, and Renault/alpine look like they are the 2026+ manufacturers.
Would love to see gm/Cadillac enter with Andretti. More competition could be way more fun

I like Shift F1. I definitely don’t always agree with them but i get a lot out of it.
I also used to listen to the official post race podcasts and that got to be too much. Like even the hosts seemed annoyed with how PR oriented they had to be. “We just had a lovely weekend in Saudi Arabia. Just so beautiful here, by the ocean breeeze.”

Some info on Gulf Oil switching partnerships from McLaren to Williams.

While the livery is largely similar to last year’s design – the major difference being a matte finish – Gulf Oil International CEO Mike Jones says it was important Gulf protected its iconic color scheme having run it as a one-off with McLaren in Monaco in 2021, but did not rule out a return at some stage.
“Of course anything we do in the future has got to be bigger and better than before,” Jones said. “We have a lot of Gulf fans around the world, we have a lot of requests for our livery. We want our livery to be special.
“We’re launching a number of fan-centric activation plans. We always feel that Gulf is the fans’ favorite and we really want our fans to be a part of that, so of course we’re looking at different solutions for that right across the Formula 1 spectrum, and we’ll be launching activation plans in the new future.”
Jones also elaborated on why Gulf had left McLaren for Williams over the winter, having had a deep history with Zak Brown’s team.
“We had a great partnership with McLaren, some real highlights – the Monaco livery I guess being at the pinnacle of that – but our relationship with McLaren kind of came to a natural end, we’d achieved everything that we probably could with the McLaren Formula 1 team and so we started looking at what was next for us within Gulf and Formula 1.
“We talked a lot to Williams around their plans not just for 2023 but the future, and we really believed that Williams are going in the right direction, there’s a lot of good things happening here. It was very attractive for us as well to have sponsorship across the academy and esports.
“Gulf is known as the iconic brand, iconic is sometimes misinterpreted as ‘old’, and esports was very attractive to us because it brings Gulf to the younger generation.
“And then the culture here is very much one of passion, very much one of teamwork, we really liked what we saw and we felt it was a really good fit.”

@AnheuserBusch is set to become the next big company to get into @F1 , as @WilliamsRacing will announce this morning that @MichelobULTRA is its new official North American beer partner.
Michelob will create content around Williams and get branding on its cars and firesuits.

I was thinking about coming a Williams fan but now I'm having second thoughts based on their partnership with Michelob Ultra.

Good for WIlliams for getting some solid partners.
Way better than that energy drink fiasco with Haas and Rich Energy.

Was really hoping Haas could get something with Anheuser-Busch but I guess with Williams having Sargent they followed the American driver.
