The whole thing is a shitshow. Typical American money grab commercial.

Thought we would get to see some decent content, not a full on informercial.

apparently honda will remain in F1, wonder if they go back to mclaren?

they messed up leaving f1 last time. i will be interested to see how much involvement ford actually has. my guess is this is a badging deal.

So Red Bull had Renault engines called Tag Heuer but were title sponsored by Aston Martin. Then Honda but still with an Aston Martin title sponsor. Then Honda left, then Red Bull Porsche was rumoured, then Honda returned and now it’s going to be Red Bull Ford.

well there's my answer:

It is anticipated that Ford will assist in the progress of the combustion engine development, as well as in areas like battery cell, electric motor technology, plus other software elements.

Press releases going out sounds like Ford will be actively invovled in the development of the next generation PU going into 2026

quote:

Ford's involvement has been labelled as a strategic partnership and "will provide expertise in areas including battery cell and electric motor technology as well as power unit control software and analytics" and "combustion engine development."

With Ford getting into F1 again, and GM paired with Andretti on their F1 bid, it's good to see some different engine manufacturers on the grid.

I'd do Montreal once before I'd do Austin 10X. JMHO.

Agreed. Montreal was a great trip last year. No driving to track. Real European feel to the city but so close to home.
The casino in the middle of the track was dangerous though.... lost so so much.

Ford confirms its return to F1 with
@RedBullRacing from 2026.

Ford was last in F1 in 2004.

.
@JimFarley98: "We will be competing to win in F1, the pinnacle for motor sport, with Red Bull Racing. You will see the world’s most popular sports coupe, the Mustang, race from the grass roots to Australian Supercars to NASCAR to Le Mans."

The three day general admission are sold out and there’s a very limited number of tickets in the stands left. Last year they did release some general admission closer to the event so I’d sign up for their email list.

If you are patient and check around you will find people selling that aren't looking to scalp as bad eventually.

I think there was a limited release in December, but last year the tickets went on sale in the middle of March.
