Yeah, I think Lawson is really good and more young blood is a good thing.

Saudis buying it would be pretty shitty.
I would bail. Lots of other activities and sports I can support that aren't tied to despots and terrorists.

BREAKING NEWS: Point out @joesaward that the signing of Fernando Alonso for Red Bull is POSSIBLE
Meh. I prefer to see him struggling Aston Martin. Hot start but I figured he'd start to fall. Just not an Alonso fan.

He doesn't bother me but Red Bull signing Alonso makes zero sense to me. They already have an established #1 and champion in Max and Alonso doesn't impress me as the type that's totally ok with accepting the #2 roll. Alonso in a Red Bull would no doubt take a swipe at winning a title.

Red Bull, from their actions over the years seems to embrace that kind of friction and pressure in their garage. Anything to keep everyone on the edge at all times.
Not sure I personally would understand the move, but they sure do like to keep the pressure on the drivers.

There hasn't been much pressure on Max this season and he's going to set a scoring record.

Unless Max just wants the challenge of beating Alonso in the same equipment there can't be much reason to bring him in.

i think Red Bull is concerned about the constructor's next year if other teams continue to make progress.
alonso & lewis are the only two drivers who would put up a fight again max in a RB. it would be awesome to watch.

I would love to see two WDCs battle it out in one of the best cars ever made. It seems unlikely, but a man can dream.

This is my opinion as well. Either of those guys as Max's teammate would be huge for F1.
I wondered why Alonso has been so mellow this year, and so supportive of Lance like he's his little brother. I figured it was partly mellowing in his old age, and partly some unknown reason (some agreement with Lawrence). Now I wonder if he's been auditioning all year as the "non-toxic" Alonso, while his agent has been in communication with the top teams, pressing for an opportunity in the next year or two.

It seems like Max and RB are going to rule for the foreseeable future so please put someone in the other RB that can actually challenge Max. I am not sure RB would just let them go at it though

Max was so bored at Australia he drove straight off the track while leading.
Was so far ahead he never lost the lead.

I think I've said it here before, but the book "Total Competition" is a fantastic read. It actually works better as an audio book because it's an interview with Brawn. It touches some on the double diffuser, but it's an interesting read from a business philosophy standpoint more so than F1 specifics. He's a sharp dude.

Chris Medland is saying those reports are false, I'll believe it when I see it.
