Great weekend for piastri.
This now makes 4 consecutive races mclaren have outscored red bull and the 3rd consecutive weekend.
That's another 4 nails in perez coffin.
November perez replacement will become official.

Hard not to like Piastri. Dude had the deck stacked against him and has just performed.

He's very laid back likeable dude. Very atypical F1 driver.

Yikes, seeing reports of the heat from drivers.
Bottas saying it was torture. Ocon threw up in his helmet. George saying he almost fainted.

Lando reporting numerous drivers passing out after the race.

5 races left, can McLaren take third in the constructors? I don't think they can catch Mercedes for second.

Verstappen has won 3 more WDC championships than Lewis Hamilton has won races since 2020.
Let that sink in. Newey is the GOAT.

You want to give that another shot?
All I am saying is Verstappen has won 3 WDCs and Lewis has won zero races since Abu Dhabi.

FIFY. When you basically get told to stay on the fricking track because you'e screwing up the race. Ouch Checo.

They won't catch Ferrari.

Just finished the race. I'll hop on the Piastri bandwagon with every one else. The kid is legit.
Pretty good race from Russell after Hamilton did his thing.
It's been a little bit since we've seen such a warm race. Singapore usually brings the literal heat, but this one looked a lot harder on the drivers.

Race is being moved to later in the season. Not good when drivers are vomiting and nearly passing out during the race.
Interesting strategy from RBR per Bernie Collins.

On the gap between VER and McLaren. VER has completed a sub optimal (slower) strategy in order to avoid traffic. This meant playing it safe with longer earlier stints and maximising the chance of safety cars.

I'm sure part of this was the drivers having to go all out pretty much the whole race because of the mandatory short stints on their tires. But still, this was across the board complaining about the heat. If I threw up in my helmet with 42 laps to go I'd say "frick it I'm out"

He would’ve been behind Perez after that, correct? The differences in their results is astounding.
