It would have been interesting to see how well Hamilton did in 2019 without an illegal Ferrari skewing the results or 2020 with a full season. That Merc was fricking legit.

That's not me taking anything away from Max. He and this car are god-tier.

Im glad you brought this up, we all know they are all pushing the limits of cheating. Its the name of the game.

But what modification gets banned because of RedBulls dominance?

Something that reduces aero efficiency. Ride height possibly.

I'd think the wind-tunnel loophole gets closed pretty quickly.

Maybe an adjustment to the wind tunnel allocation.

Eliminating the loophole hits all the teams.

Why did ZHO start so slowly yesterday?

Looked like anti-stall got him.

Too much wheelspin at the start and the car will save itselfs.

checo needs to stop screwing up in qualifying. he is fine in races, but he's starting too far back.

I've slid off the track on that corner in every racing game I've played in the last 30 years.

Anyone here into sim racing?

Thought about getting a basic setup and giving it a go. I'd like to get on iracing or something like that, unless y'all recommend something different.

That left...you're just doing it blind and hoping you time it correctly.

I tend to not let off the throttle at all which makes it a risky turn every single lap.

Listening to Missed Apex for a bit and caught a segment where they were saying so far McLaren has only delivered about 2/3 of the parts that were planned for this big upgrade, and that there's still more yet to come.

I have a wheel, just the Logitech G923 and basic setup. I only play F123 though, never got into the online thing.

I'd like to do iRacing but don't feel like buying a whole new computer/laptop setup. I only have 1 really old Mac computer that would not be able to handle running iRacing, so I've never had a chance to try it yet.

I think it was the poster Barry who has posted before, and he has a slick setup.

I forgot where I heard that the Silverstone race where they went 2nd/4th, Lando had all the upgrades at least to that point, and Piastri didn't have the front wing upgrade I think. So it just made Piastri's performance and bad luck missing a podium just that much more impressive.

For the long time F1 folks, while I know it's 2 races so we gotta let it play out a bit longer but is there precedence for this type of turnaround? Just wondering if this is super rare or not that crazy.

At the beginning of the season, I'm pretty sure there was discussion about whether McLaren was the 9th best car on the grid. And now we may be discussing if they're 2nd going forward for the rest of this season.

I think this is pretty remarkable for the 2nd year in a new regulation. A lot of shite can happen year 1. I think its much more common for a team like the caliber of McLaren to bring upgrades to put them in a position where they should be. They shouldn't be at the bottom like before and they are still off the pace a ways, Merc and Ferarri are just dumpster fires.

It really is a hobby that starts at about $200 and can go to about $200k.

Do you have a pedal and chair setup?

Another thing that deters me from iRacing is the learning curve. It appears to be pretty intense, and I don't have that much time to devote to other hobbies.
