Well, that was super fun and pointless. I hope they don't expand this dumb concept. I'm sure it's great for their little revenue streams, though, so I'm guessing they will.

Max definitely had some words for George. “Expect the same from me next time”

Damn that was a big hole in the sidepod but that's racing. It's not like George just drove into the side. They were side by side for half a lap and max was stuck on the outside. Sometimes you just gotta give up the spot.

I’m over the Sprint race stuff. This weekend’s cluster of a schedule pushed me over the edge lol

Why did 10 down even race? No good comes of it, now AT likely going to have a penalty and worse starting spot for the real race. Should just retire at first issue

Max talks shite when people race him hard. He can dish it out, but he's not good at taking it. Max would've done the same as Russell in his position and not thought twice about it.

Good hard racing. Surprised at the balls on George.

Hits different when you are leading the championship.

Those Mercs are dogs on the straights.

The sprint race is nonsense

Eta: Parc ferme. Because it's the thing to type.

maybe it's the ride height but are definitely slow. The Williams flies down the straight with a customer engine. I understand they spend millions on aero but max was back into drs on lec on the last lap with a hole the size of my head in the sidepod. The Honda engine has grunt

Wait so the Sprint Race wasn’t for qualifying position for tomorrow?

Nope. Just a handful of points for 1 thru 8. Completely pointless.

ETA: not pointless, technically, but pointless all the same.

You’re right. There’s no point to it, especially a guy like Verstappen who could get caught up in trouble in a race like this and comprise the Sunday actual race

I don’t think the sprint should impact grid order for the Grand Prix.

It just effectively makes the races 33% longer which I think negatively affects the importance Quali and the Grand Prix Sunday.

Relatively boring…

Come on F1, if you’re gonna do Sprints, embrace my idea, reverse grid set by the prior weeks GP finish.

I have no idea why failure should be rewarded.

Give up? Its supposed to be racing not a parade. George ran out of talent in that corner and smashed into Max. That hole slowed down Max all race and prevented us from a potential late race RB vs RB fight.

Why didn’t George give up then if its so easy. Are we all so soft thet 2 racers can’t race side by side clean?
