Davey! Gone way too soon. Woulda been a multi-time champ. God rest his soul.

Davey and Bill was my two favorites growing up. When DJ took over the 28, he became my favorite. Man, I miss those days and I miss RYR.

Davey was also my favorite.

My mom, being from Alabama, taught me about the Alabama gang before I could walk. So naturally I was a fan of the 28. I was two month shy of turning 8 when Davey was taken from us, that was my first worst day ever. I always pulled for RYR but never really became a fan of an individual driver since Davey.

Robert Yates Racing had some great paint schemes over the years, aside from those posted above.

This is the GOAT of GOAT paint scheme for me personally.

It would have been great to see some battles between Davey and Gordon. I think Davey would've given Jeff a good run for his money during the 90's.

My all time favorite:

Junior’s tribute to his dad at the 2006 Dega race

Also, Junior’s Buddy Baker Gray Ghost tribute in the 2008 All-Star race was a badass one

I remember that one well. That race ended up being run on a Monday. He didn't finish the race, I think due to a blown engine.

The Jeff Gordon Dupont 24 has got to be one of the most iconic liveries right?

Up there with Pettys STP 43 and Srs Goodwrench 3. But growing up in the 90s the Gordon Dupont is the one that stands out as most memorable
