On one hand they are driving 190mph around 40 other cars doing the same, you are going to get hurt in some crashes.
But them building a new car which definitely seems to be less safe than the old one seems like a huge oversight.
On DBC a while back someone mentioned that they heard a rumor that the new car was "killing" the crash test dummies.

The test at Talladega was done with a robot controlled car hitting the wall near the tri oval at 130 mph. Chase Briscoe posted on Reddit that the injuries to the crash test dummy were fatal.

Kaulig with 2 announcements today. AJ Allmendinger takes over the 16 full time in Cup. Kaulig then poached Chandler Smith from TRD for the 16 in the Xfinity Series. Great move on their part.

I really like Kaulig racing. probably my favorite team of the "B-tier" teams. I would say they are probably A-Tier or at least close to it in Xfinity though.

Toyota drivers leaving and headed to Chevrolet.
That’s at least three that I can think of.
Kyle Busch, Brandon Jones , and chandler smith.

I thought the 16 was where Reddick was gonna be this year. No clue where he goes now. Childress may lease the rick ware or spire charter and farm him out.

Toyota is in a bad position with only 6 cars, I only counted 4 in Xfinity at Talladega, I'm guessing similar in Truck
There's only so many seats and Bubba Wallace is guaranteed one of them along with Hamlin, and Ty Gibbs. It's probably one reason they let Busch go.

Truck count will drop if KBM goes to Chevy.

This is where Toyota should've tried harder to work with teams like Michael Waltrip and Red Bull. I know both battled dysfunction at times, but Toyota was in a decent spot when they had a decent 2-3 teams. 23XI is a good complement to Gibbs, but they need to invest in a third team. Whoever that will be.
Chevy: 15 cars
Hendrick
Trackhouse
Childress
Kaulig
Petty GMS
JTG
Spire
Ford:12
Penske
Stewart Haas
RFK
Wood Brothers
Front Row

They hit Harvick. Watch Denny get penalized next.
Chase gets a free pass.

Harvick just got hammered but good by NASCAR.
Nascar telling him to STFU.
Typical reaction from them.

Age old rule, complain too much about safety and get the hammer (but nastycar ignored fact he was almost burned alive in a previous race):

It is my understanding that the part in question in the Harvick penalty is the deck lid.

Nope. I like Chase but would be surprised if they penalized him for anything that wasn’t glaringly obvious.

If I’m Harvick I tear them another a-hole after this week
Posted on 10/5/22 at 9:23 pm to Hurricane Mike
Harvick has nothing to lose. He’s close to retiring and out of the playoffs. Scorched earth this week.
