I can just see Horner and Max dreaming up something juicy for the DTS episode for the non-Max content but yet all about Max.

I don't think Max wants to lose fans and memorabilia revenue for TV drama.

This whole thing is just weird. Checo and Max seem to have a really genuine relationship. My wife shows me all the Instagram stuff from Red Bull when they do videos together and they really do look like good friends. It just seems out of character for Max to do something like this.

Yeah, Max is an arse and doesn't hide the fact that he is...

I had thought on this and it seems like Red Bull dropped the ball with PR management and being proactive.

So Max's radio guy obviously is telling him to let Checo through, 3 or so times, and then Max doesn't.

Ok, so why not let it go and say nothing and after the race discuss it with Max? Then you can come up with any number of excuses why it happened and none of us would have any clue Max doesn't like Checo for some reason.

Instead, Max's radio guy says "what happened?" and opened the door for the world to know. Given Max's reply, he seemed to make it clear that he told them he wouldn't help Max, so you can't just say they had no clue, it seems they knew and yet still asked him what happened, which just seems like something they botched on their end when it was unnecessary.

Let it go man. Max is an a-hole and everybody knows it. I doubt even Max cares about you defending him or his reputation.

Let what go, what are you talking about?

This is quite the weird and random take since all I've done in this thread is the literal opposite of defending Max and his reputation.

Just getting around to posting since the race.

Finally a race with some action. It had been some dull races of late. Hated to see Russell win, but was glad my boy Sainz got on the podium and glad it wasn't another joy ride for Max. I was going to be pissed if Ferrari let LeClerc pass there at the end. Sainz had driven his arse off and deserved to finish ahead. LeClerc and Perez are now dead even so it'll be a shootout for who comes in second and second place in the constructors cup is still up in the air.

Also, Ocon is definitely the most underrated driver out there imo. He's there number two driver (imo) and just doesnt care, he just goes out and drives the hell out of the car each week.

Hulk is replacing Mick.

I'd rather see young blood. Hulk had his chance.

Word is Mick will land at Merc, which may be a really good spot for him. Actual sim time and a good support network.

May play himself into backup driver for half the grid.

Hulk probably make a lot of sense for Haas. They need experienced drivers, they don't have the ability to develop a talent. I don't see Hulk doing anything unless the car greatly improves.

I think guenther just wants someone who won’t crash the car. Such a boring replacement.

Doesn't the 1&1 sponsorship pretty much hinge on Haas having a German driver? They may not have had much other choice.

I'm not a Mick Fan, but I don't think that's the best move. He seems just like a fill in until they can find a young gun, similar to someone like... Mick. I would have tried to make it work with him.

Apparently there are rumors out there that Vasseur is going to replace Binotto.

In relation to speculation in certain media regarding Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto's position, Ferrari states that these rumours are totally without foundation.

Binotto needs to go but I wouldn't have ever guessed it would be Vasseur that replaced him. Seems like he would've hung around for the Audi money to hit Sauber but I guess when Ferrari calls you jump.
