Here's a few pics from a buddy in Austin from last year at COTA and from the Billy Joel and Twenty-one Pilots concerts.

Haven't posted in the thread since the race. After the first couple laps, this one was a bit of a snooze fest. It was nice for racing to be back, but this one was pretty much over before it started. Every diver they talked to before the race seemed to know what the results were going to be.
I was surprised that LeClerc wasn't able to move through the pack a little faster and compete for 4th though. I was glad Albon finished in the points and it was pretty cool seeing Williams be so fast in the straights. Hearing "it's good they came out of the pit ahead of Williams because they are hard to pass" was refreshing

Yeah, seems like last year was a bad year to get into F1. Incredibly entertaining.
This year has been fun in its own way, but I’m not turning off a football game on Sunday afternoon to watch an F1 race when they have their North/South America run.

Haven't seen it yet, but Mick leaving ferrari driving academy at end of year.
quote:
Schumacher's original Ferrari Driver Academy contract will come to what one source called a 'natural end' after this season.
Although there has been no confirmation from Haas, it's accepted in the paddock that Schumacher won't be retained by the US-owned team for a third season in 2023, with Antonio Giovinazzi currently a favourite to land the seat alongside Kevin Magnussen.
The remaining open drives on the grid include Alpine and Williams, with Schumacher's close friend Esteban Ocon backing him as a candidate for the former.
He has also been associated with an AlphaTauri seat, although Colton Herta has now emerged as a more likely candidate should a vacancy arise.
There is a possibility that Schumacher could lose out in the driver market shuffle in the coming days, potentially leaving Germany with no representative on the 2023 grid, unless Nico Hulkenberg is chosen by Alpine.

While I'm not a big fan of Mick, I don't see F1 Jesus as an upgrade. Will be surprised if he's put in that seat.
eta-Supposedly Marko told a reporter off the record that Mick is not much of a talent, so him going to AT would be out if true.

Still holding out my hope of Ric to Haas... Dude loves America and would be driving for the only American Team (if you take Williams out being they are owned by the investment company out of the US now).

I'd like to see Ric in the seat even though I'm not a big fan of his personality. He's a big name and has shown speed in the past. Assuming the Haas isn't "weird" to drive like the McLaren supposedly is he could get back to form and give them some good finishes.
And his popularity might help with landing some bigger sponsors. MiniSchu has the name but not the talent or personality.

A tearoff from someone's visor got in his brake duct and he had to make another pit stop. That put him at the back of the pack for a second time.

Ferrari lacked the pace of RB the whole race. Even with softs at the end, lec was .6 slower than Max's best time set earlier on heavier fuel. I don't understand why Ferrari was so slow relative to RB. They had sainz running to a 1:53 delta while max was running 1:50s. It makes no sense. They have actually been the quickest car for most of the season but just keep stepping on their dicks. Hopefully they will be more competitive at zandvoort

I always got the feeling Ferrari was trying to do right by giving Mick a shot since Michael wasn't around.
It's a damn shame Michael isn't with it to help Mick. The end of the Michael documentary is a gut punch when Mick says he just wants to talk shop with his dad
That hit me so hard. I followed in my dad's footsteps and I'm lucky enough to still have him to talk to. I don't know what I would do without him.

Already four races in with Ferrari, a win by Carlos and one by Leclerc and smoked twice by Max.
So far I avoided making a Ferrari move except once. Pitting on a yellow when I thought others would, I buried Leclerc back to like 13th but he recovered to 3rd.
Love the game

if you believe racing365...time to pour one out for Goatifi...in the article about Schumacher it stated that Williams is likely moving on from the GOAT

Feels like silly season has been extended this year...
Won't believe anything until I see the official team tweet...

Goatifi has been a dead-man-walking since the third race. Dude got his fun few years driving a F1 car. Now he can go back to his hot girlfriend and billions of dollars north of the wall.
Just for reference, because we have rules, dammit.
