I'm about to curse Paul Ricard, but with what we have seen on these actual circuits I think we will have a hell of a race at Paul Ricard.

French GP is always boring - ask anyone

let's see if the new Formula makes this one a non-snoozer for once

Exactly. Ever see 5 cars under a blanket battling for position at Austria before?

We're about to see a US driver, y'all.

Herta and/or Sargeant

Danny Ric is going to stay next year. Not sure if Mclaren is trying to get him to quit, but despite everything he is better than whatever they will bring in.

GP Blog report on another reporter quoting Vettel. If he really said that then he is gone. Dude is retired.

It's a penalty system where if they accumulate too many points they sit a race. 12 points iirc. Their points carry over from season to season, but drop off after a year. For example Gasly will still have those 2 penalty points for the first half of next year until they drop off July 10, 2023.

Oh dang. Is there a site where I can see the current accumulated points for each dude?

Also, if they sit a race, does the team just run 1 car or does a backup fill in?

excellent questions - there may be a tabulation somewheres - but think of it as nothing - because nobody's losing their super license during the season

Herta and/or Sargeant

I would become a huge Herta fan. I pulled for Rossi when he was with Manor. Herta is faster than Rossi so this is something I'd love to see.

Link to PDF download from FIA website for Gasly/Vettel incident

Austria GP FIA documents

I can't find a list of penalty points on the FIA website but the decision document says Gasly currently has 6 of 12 points after the Vettel incident.

It was entertaining last year. I'm hoping for even more fun this year with the new cars. Like Bucky said, you ever see five go at it at Austria? fricking nuts. I may have higher hopes than I should for Paul Ricard.

I'm bullish on Paul Ricard.

I have high hopes.

Was Imola the only really shitty race we had this year?

I think I dozed off during Miami.

But yeah, there have been a lot more less boring races this year.
