Mazepin won a couple F2 races.

He'd dominate W series if he decided he was a tranny.

Whoa, too much BS at that last race - but we saw some more magnificent "side by side," as they refer to it now, instead of "wheel to wheel," racing at a usually non-eventful, in terms of actual racing, circuit. Max didn't win - that's major.

This weekend, and the last, show that the new Formula is working to provide closer racing, as we all wish for, indeed.

5 seconds should be 10 AND POINTS ON THE SUPER LICENSE as a penalty - let them race cleanly

Yeah, the strength and conditioning requirements of driving an F1 car are pretty stout (my skinny neck and beer belly would not be a good fit for an F1 cockpit), but I don't think they're insurmountable for a woman.

Forget about F1. Somebody wake me up when they start winning in F2 and F3.

Gasly did get 2 points as his was more egregious than Russel's move.

I say let them race. You dump a guy and he may dump you the next race. It's self policing.

Can someone explain how this points on the super license works?

Unless there is something egregious.

Really, the shite is all over. In a case like Perez/Rus it was penalized just because Perez left room on the left and there was a collision, where other drivers through the weekend were forced off the track at the same spot because they chose to avoid contact.

The clarification at the beginning of the year seems less clear now.

A number of other drivers went through 4 without contact. Mag and Lando come to mind.

Perez did similar to Mag vs Ham earlier in the year. Pinched tighter than need be so when the guy on the inside fricks up, pushes/understeers, you're in the kitty litter as there is no margin.

Have seen reports that Perez was specifically told to NOT pass there by Helmut.

Passing doesn't need to be so scientific. "Was he to the front wheel at the apex?" "Well, where is the apex?" Just leave room for the other guy like there is a wall at the edge of the track.

I didn't think Ichabod should have gotten 5 seconds as the contact was not egregious on his part. And Perez pinched more than necessary. Just a racing incident.

Which is how they ruled it when Ham got into KMag.

These are the best racing drivers in the world intentionally crashing opponents - unacceptable.

In the era of cost caps, that is now unsportsmanlike conduct, flag on the play, 15-yard penaltly, automatic first down, Tigers.

It's a penalty system where if they accumulate too many points they sit a race. 12 points iirc. Their points carry over from season to season, but drop off after a year. For example Gasly will still have those 2 penalty points for the first half of next year until they drop off July 10, 2023.

I think it was just lack of talent.

Yep. Easy to say George should have backed out there, but just as easy for Perez to stay a little wider.

It all gets confused when the person inside now has to hit the apex, which is absurd, and the person outside can squeeze and force the inside guy to back out.

Or better, you can dive bomb the inside and get ahead, but you just have to make the corner.

The apex rule is such crap in a turn where you can have multiple apexes...apex's....apexie

That's exactly how Max stayed ahead of MiniSchu on that move at the chicane where he not only pushed Mick completely off the track, but barely stayed on himself.

Smart move on Max's part since it's "legal", but kind of shitty racing.

So, Sainz engine blows up with 13 laps to go. The sprint race was 24 laps.

Which means if it was a time bomb, it would have grenaded during practice at Ricard.

A percentage of them are.

Others are not (Latifi, Stroll).
