The start is too important to go on hards first.
Even if you are at the back of the grid and trying to have a contrarian strategy to say the teams in the mid pack?

Hasn’t it been planned for a while to get him enough test time so he qualifies for a super license?

I believe so. I always get the stories crossed with him and Pato. I think Pato had the bet for an F1 test if he won, but maybe that was Herta.

Anyone have the balls to stretch the hards super long and go softs afterwards? 71 laps.

Your boy Checo… hell, he may go to lap 60 on meds just to prove a point.

I would assume someone who has had bad luck this season (Ric) is gonna try something different today

Edit: Maybe Bottas or Alonso since they are starting back of grid now.

Ric might decide to just ignore whatever his team tells him to do

Why does F1 mandate at least one tire chamge?

Competition.

If not some would just put hards on and tire manage the whole way.

Wonder if Ric is going to start doing his own thing with the writing on the wall…

Hoping we get double points from Haas today

Wonder if F1 is going to consider reducing size of the cars to keep some of the historical tracks on future seasons.

I know a lot of folks are chirping about taking them off because they simply are poor racing circuits given the current formula.

Same as every weekend, if history holds then both Mic and Mags will have a DNF today since they are starting top 10

because you can't run on light fuel. I know refueling is dangerous but I miss the days of strategic fueling and multiple pit stops. Every other series does it just fine. I like watching Australian supercars when the announcers time the refueling to figure out when the next stop will come

Refueling would make the strategy much more fun. In the money saving F1 I think we are a long way from seeing that come back.

We are losing tire blankets in the next year or two, so they can't even surprise their opponents on the grid with a bold move.

How do you figure out you need brake work 12 minutes before the race??

Nothing like doing last minute break work on the grid.
