I’m glad I didn’t wake up early to catch this race. Ferrari need to get it together or this season will be a snooze.
It doesn’t help the entertainment that Merc are comfortably ahead of the midfield but not competitive at the top.

Lol people saying Checo was faster than Max now
Posted on 6/12/22 at 9:05 am to UltimaParadox
Great race for Latifi with one of his best finishes in 15th even with the time penalty

Lol.. Checo had fastest lap and still finished 20 seconds behind. Not to mention the fact that Max was told not to use DRS the last 5 or so laps.
I hope the FIA doesn’t make any regulation changes to help with porpoising. Would be a kick in the junk to other teams that have it mostly figured out.

Teams can fix it, just have to give up the performance. FIA will stay out of it unless there was no way to fix it.

Hamilton playing it up for the cameras is what he does… yeah, I’m sure he’s hurting, but man up and walk off like every other driver.
Ploy by Merc to get reg changed mid-season when other teams have figured it out and they want the easy out to not effect performance.

Mostly boring race. Season has changed from promise to runaway.
The DRS zones are in bad spots - too far down track to help make a pass. Need to be closer to corner exit.
Haas season had so much potential and for many reasons is complete crap now. Mick can’t drive and engineers are worthless.
Ferrari had a chance to make it fun but reliability has killed them.
This race course is horrible. Tight corners not allowing passes and long straights with DRS too far down to allow passes (some but not many).
F1 had great momentum to start season but I think they have some issues that will reduce the huge fan viewership potential. They have had some great increases thos year but snoozefests like today won’t help.
They need to hope next weeks race can get back on track being in North America means a bigger potential audience. Cannot have another snoozefest..

Racey Spice on the rivers of tears coming from Mercedes;

quote:
“It would seem unfair to penalise the ones that have done a decent job versus the ones that have perhaps missed the target slightly.”
Red Bull seems unencumbered by bouncing relative to Ferrari and particularly Mercedes, and when asked what he’d tell his drivers to say if the RB18 had displayed the same characteristic, he said: “I’d tell them to bitch as much as they could on the radio, and make as big an issue out of it as they possibly could. It’s part of the game.”
Asked then whether he thought that’s what some teams were indeed doing, he said: “Of course it is. I mean, look, you can see it’s uncomfortable – but there are remedies to that. But it’s to the detriment of the car performance.

Just like your boy Max's theatrics with the heavy breathing and ohhs and ahhs after crashing out at Silverstone lst year, right? Listening to Horner afterwards you'd think that he had a Senna-like crash or something.

Were we watching the same Silverstone crash? Max took a very powerful impact that would knock the breath out of anyone and would have them seeing stars for a few minutes.

Obviously I was being a bit facetious in my comment. But you guys shite on Lewis for everything out of some irrational hate that I don't quite get. Dude can do no right in your eyes, while you put Max on some kind of pedestal. The hypocrisy is what gets to me.

Honestly now that Merc is struggling and Lewis isn’t strutting around like a peacock crushing everyone, I kind of like him more.
Dude is talented, and I know he had a couple of bitching moments this year but someone else in his position (on top for so long to struggling now) might be more prone to blow up (Max).
And I like Red Bull but I think if this shoe was on max’s foot he would be blowing up at people on the radio
Edit: and I do like Russell as a driver

quote:I used to play competitive golf, as in, low single digit handicap, win some tournaments, play for the city amateur title, stuff like that. Once I developed that lower back problem and it put me into the hospital on a morphine drip, everything changed and not only did my golf game suffer, I could no longer ride in premium rides at Disney, Universal or Six Flags. Sometimes the pain and stiffness is so bad just from sitting that it makes walking difficult. I completely sympathize with Hamilton. Bumping around in that car for several hours and the muscles tightening from the stress in his lower back had to hurt. I feel sorry for him.

I have an old lower back injury, and I am not nearly in the same shape as these drivers. But if Lewis is having lower back nerve pain their is no manning up and walking it off. If an inflamed disc is pushing on a nerve it is simply the most painful thing I have experienced.
Posted on 6/12/22 at 12:57 pm to 225rumpshaker
Hamilton is far from the only one bitching, but he will be the most covered because the media loves him and people seek out the opinion of those they don't like to bitch about bitching.
If you have an disadvantage you want your competitors advantage removed.
I want the teams to fix the problem within the rules, but if you want more competition up front maybe you allow those behind an advantage to close the gap.
