Caught an interview with Mazepin on BBC radio and actually found myself agreeing with some things that he was saying.
BBC reporter kept trying to bait him into controversial answers. For example ‘Why did Putin want an F1 race?’ NM replied that most countries try to get an F1 race and also why aren’t you talking about explosions in Saudi Arabia.

Mick faster than Kev for once.
Just checked Mags in car and the car looks to be driving ok. He did about lose it the same as Max in 13 which blew what appeared to be a good lap.
Then on the cool down lap watched from Kev's in car as Stroll stuck it in the fence.

Haas has kept a very low profile this week.

They made some drawings for Max.

I don't know how he was allowed to get away with that at all. Every driver should be able to warm up his tires by weaving across the track without fear of the guy behind him coming up along side him.

Not only that but he was attempting to take away the line the leader preferred to start on.
I'm just surprised it took three races in a row of him doing that for them to finally say something.
*Funny thing is he pretty much fricked himself doing it in Bahrain with a poor line to the corner.

KMag says the car is driving much better than yesterday.
They haven't shown shite yet so hopefully they uncork it in Q.
Or, they are just bad this weekend.
Find out in 13 minutes.

It has happened a lot over the years but apparently by accident when the lead car braked a little harder than expected. Max just used it as a tactical tool, effective both mentally and physically. I see it like the Kenny Pickett slide rule. It is likely quarterbacks have faked out defensive players in the past either intentionally or unintentionally with eye or body movements but Kenny just went too far.

Umm, that was a weird situation.

Stroll and Latifi in the same area means busted carbon fiber.
eta-And Haas is truly shite this weekend. Very surprising.

I'm not really sure what Latifi wanted to accomplish there.

I think the announcers have it right, Stroll was trying to get out of the Alfa's way and wasn't expecting Latifi to try to pass him after just letting him through.

Yeah I got this on mute.
But after seeing Latifi's onboard there, perhaps.

Gunter said that bc of the crash in Saudi, they do not have a backup tub with them in Australia. I think HAAS is gonna have good race pace but has been ultra conservative not to pull a Latiffi in practice.
He even made sure to say how both drivers were keenly aware of their situation.

This tooling around at 50% pace during practice and qualy has to end, someone is going to get seriously injured or killed. Even setting that aside the cost for the teams is stupidly high.

Finally, everyone is driving fast!

I may be one of the few but I used to love the 1 lap qualy. No traffic and the pressure was immense. Plus you got to see every second of every qualy lap throughout the field.
