Josh smith will reach majors quicker with rangers
He’s done well so far this year despite two injury stints

Not trade related, but listening to Jack Leiter right now in the Rangers booth. Guy sounds like he will give it 100% effort and is highly invested in his success.

Never looked into any of his personality, but never heard a single negative thing about him. Just good to listen to a guy that that is passionate about his craft

I am pleased that it was the Yankees just because I can cheer for him and Odor to lead them to the postseason where they go on a run and beat the Astros

Any anti Astros post is good by me.

Leiter sounds like the real deal. I don’t see how you can watch Rangers broadcasts, this play by play guy sounds like he’d rather be doing anything else right now. I’ve always liked Murphy because he’s an East Texas baw but he seems more suited as a studio analyst. Sorry to hijack just an observation.

It must suck being a Rangers fan knowing they don't give a single damn about them. It's nice to know I was at the only World Series games that stadium will likely ever see

[FanGraphs Prospects] In our live farm system rankings, the Yankees' system moved from 4th to 11th, while Texas moved from 19th to 15th

Ownership is a bunch of scam artists. The team is nothing more than an ATM for them. They may as well bet he Hunt Sports Group w/how they run FC Dallas at this point.

Rangers lost harder. If any of these guys turn out the Rangers will just trade them. They aren't interested in winning. They are the anti As.

It is shocking how moronic our fan base is.

For half of the last decade we had a top 10 payroll in all of MLB. Before this year the lowest payroll total the team has had was 15th highest in the league. The next lowest was 2010 when the club ranked 27th in total team payroll

Lick them boots brah. They don't give a frick. The only way the Rangers make the playoffs in the next decade is if MLB expands the playoff again.

Having a top 10 payroll in the league while trying to compete?

Yes, why would it not be acceptable? We got fricked by the Fielder injury and being right outside of the window when teams actually traded massive prospect hauls at the deadline.

Add that with Mazara and Profar’s failure’s with the club and no pitching developing and this is what you get.

The money spent shows the team and ownership’s investment compared to the rest of the league. We shouldn’t expect a top five payroll, even when we are competitive in this market.

I think that’s a bit reductionist, but I take your point. a top 5 market with a fan base who shows in up droves when the team is even halfway decent shouldn’t be bragging about about top 10 payroll. if you’re going to go for it, then go for it.

but it’s taken 3 years, and moving JD out of the GM role for anyone in the front office to even acknowledge this a rebuild, when it was obvious after 2016. I want transparency, and for Davis and Simpson to at the very least show up at the park once in a while. RC might be just be trying to push your buttons, but his ATM comment isn’t that far off

I do agree that I would appreciate more personal team interaction from ownership.

Or at the very least some kind of guarantee towards the future.
