No. Wanted to go as it's the first time Cup has been there in my lifetime but it just didn't work out.
Great track though. Have been on it a couple times.

How does Matty D finish 2nd today?
Posted on 7/4/21 at 3:31 pm to Hurricane Mike
Finish behind either Chase or Ky.Busch.

Chase to the lead. Best road racer in the biz, folks.

You get negative points for late response

Chase is smooth as silk working that gear box.

Team meeting between Larson and Bowman.

William fricking Clyde baby!
Great win for Chase. This is his 7th career win on a road course, he is 3rd all-time by himself behind Smoke(8) and Gordon(9). He's gonna shatter the all-time record.
Let the siren ring in the Smokey Mountain foothills of Dawson County tonight. And he comes back home to Atlanta next week and I'll be there to see it.
6th straight win for Hendrick. They now have half the wins for the entire season. Someone put Tzimmel4 on suicide watch.

Well Kyle Busch won the second Pocono race last week but still dominating nonetheless.
If Bowman hadn’t taken out he and Larson they would’ve had 3 of top 5.

Chase blows his rear tires out giving the Turn 5 fans a 2nd burnout.
That's why he's the MPD. If he wins at Atlanta next week that crowd is gonna go nuts.

And yet all 4 are in the top-6 in points.

I fell asleep with about 23 to go and saw the last 3 laps which weren’t exciting, and really didn’t watch much before that. How was the race?

You answered your own question.

The racing itself wasn't bad. Like Ky.Busch said in the post-race it's gonna get drawn out on long green runs. It's a narrow and slick track.
Chase won going away.

I watched the entire race. That was my least favorite road course so far this year. I’m giving COTA a pass since that race was run in a deluge.

Forgive my ignorance as I don't follow NASCAR but when did they move to sequential manuals on road courses? Do they use them on ovals now too?

They don't have sequentials. They have dog boxes.
eta-Going to sequentials, with paddles, next year.

Race needed about 5 or 10 more laps to force a pitstop on that last "stage". No strategy came into play.
