The all star race has been a clusterfrick for the better part of a decade.
This one will be no different. They’re going to bunch them up with the super speedway package and produce like 500 hp on a 1.5 mile so they’ll top out at what? 180? On a track that it’s possible to run 200+ into turn 1 with more hp.
Who knows, might be a decent race, but it will probably be kind of ho hum and with the wrecks and breaks it’s going to take like 4 hours to run 150 miles.

You can’t tell me HMS can pay him more than being in the booth. He’s either not wanting to be in there cause it’s not what it’s all cut out to be what was promised or he really doesn’t like Clint Boyer stealing the show and doing a better job.

Anyone headed to the All Star race this weekend? I’m gonna be in the Dallas area and may go on Sunday.
I’ve told myself after falling asleep @ the last two Texas races I attended, that I would never again go back to a NASCAR race there, but with all the money on the line and it being a quick(ish) type event, I’ve let myself have a slim bit of hope the racing will be halfway decent.

He owns half of 2 of their cars, and has been named Rick’s successor.
I don’t think he’s all that good in the booth. He’s a fine analyst, but is kind of a goober, which seems to be the theme at Fox I guess.
